So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

Dave: 2nd time too.. this was supposed to be the backup drive. The original drive got full.. shrug

Yes.. and if that takes too long, I might just have to go over there instead ubblol..

Beth: Point proven. pay $50, change your ticket, and you won't be worse off than if you had paid the $50 more in the first place to fly with another airline! smile?

yeah, $50 brings it up to the price of the other airlines, but I can't really afford it (hance why i took jetstar in the first place). I took work off this weekend to be able to come here, so that means 15 hours worth of money this week i don't have.

And those assignments are still a problem.

But the chances of me being accepted to go to Japan are pretty low, therefore chances of me coming to Woodford and then Januray Moonfest are pretty good smile

i would have changed ***** to phallus, and claire to petey Petey

joel! wave umm...freezer trick? umm

do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and good to eat!

freezer trick involves putting the drive in the freezer for a few hours and trying to run it and copy as much data/crap/porn off it while it's still cold (when ry was over here, i was guessing that the issues with the drive might have been heat & mechanical related).

Jean: Thanks miss.. all is sort of ok. Been better but you know.. helpful fairies would be much appreciated. Maybe a headache fairy too. Two panadols were clearly not enough.

Still managed to have a super time at the Burleigh spin on the Gold Coast though.. Dan, Alice, Kyle, Biggins, Pip, Pauly, Lisa, Shion etc.. and the best flake and chips you ever tasted..

How's you? hug Any closer to cameraness?

Joel: Well.. just discovered it's corruption beyond the file tables.. Prosoft Media Tools was helpful. Data seems to be there, the freezer most definitely won't work. I'm guessing what might work is hooking it up as a slave and extracting files individually, but I'm guessing the partition table is unfixable. I'm actually looking for Partition Table Doctor, but a full version which works (In Hiren's it seems to be in a different language or not have a readable font?) Any ideas?

Beth: How's Brisbane going so far? Heard you might be coming over Monday night.. I get up and out very early and I think Gita's out not long after.. I'm guessing you'll be up early Tuesday.. is it straight to the airport?

Ry! My love life is being plagued and hindered by the evil, EVIL-ness of country music!Again!

Argh! Help! Whatever shall I do?

Perfect date last night... he just left, now, which is like a full day later... *delerious smiles*...BUT! Country music once again rears its ugly interfering tune into the soundtrack of my life.Sigh.

This guy doesn't play, thankfully, but it *is* his favorite musical genre.YUK. How am I supposed to be serious about someone that listens to county? COUNTRY?! Me? Ha! I think not.

My god, am I going to have to get cowboy boots? Will Cupid show no mercy? None?

Oh, I am sure there is some sick and twisted ironically morose country ballad out there to encompass how I feel right now... lol

You?Hows you?New computer?

xoxo
