mcp - if i really needed to i could must up two dv cams, and two tri pods

what do you say to that?

multi angle trap door show

what i would like to do is make a couple of short vids of the work shop with some tricks (basic and high level) done for the cammera, and then broken down into slow mo with commentry on them to help you nail the trick!?

haaaommmmeennmmmmmmamammmmm....

(just wating for the phone call back confirming the space)

as far as videoing it goes... we were hoping to video the whole lot, and put out a dvd based, but not exclusively based on the weekend.

this would obviously be a little pointless if everybody filmed it and then edited and threw onto the web.
would it be too much to ask for people to film and keep to themselves?

thats not a problem for me

i was goig to hand the dv tapes over to you rob, post copying them for personal use

i dont see the problem if we are having a show and tell section, and a performer whats to throw a viedo of themselves shoing a trick up on the net

but as for vidyo'in the workshop and dvd'in it that a good idea to me, your welcome to have my dvd tapes, or would you like a dvd copy of my raw footage?

hey, queen. QUEEEEN!
(something exciting)

venue choice no.1 say they can't confrm for 6 more days at least. te POOKa managenment says 'f8ck it, go with it anyway, we can always find a new venue'

so

april 16th and 17th it is.
cost will be £35 non-euros.

confirmed teaching staff: me; moseph; antti;
unconfirmed teaching staff: knoxious;
two replacements lined up just in case, both mighty fine staffoids.

up for debate:
workshop format;
at present, in an eight hour day, i am reckoning on about 1 hour arrival and warm up, then divide into two groups, and do a 90 min class. then lunch(45 mins), re-warm up and another 90 min class. then 1hr break/jam with advice from tutors, then final 90 minute class. this leaves us 45mins spare so each section can take slightly longer if needed(and you hippies are slack timekeepers anyway!)

then day two something similar, with maybe a small show at the end if i run a particular worksho i have brewing.

does anybody have any workshop requests?

yes, can i ask that we have a links workshop

so that not only learning how to pull off good solid trick, like the full range of steves, but also some ideas, and potenital ideas of how to link moves together, ie how to get into it easily from one move to another?

it is certainly a handy list. but i think it is a bit overused. perhaps if a new improved list came up once a day rather than every time somone posted it might be better, and make more sese to thse of us who don't peruse everything line by line...;)

90min classes or 1 hour classes?

the point of the list is that the last list is the most up todate list, meaning that rather than someone have to back through the thread and look for teh amount of people and who have said they would like to go

they can update the list and it be ready to go

i do see your point

maybe you are right, few people thought now should be addingtheir names to the list, bar the housing situation......

i think maybe 1 hr classes meaning we should be able to get more classes into teh time

will there be a published list of classes closer to the time,

will there be a links workshop?

and what do you mean by links mech??

oh and i also think 1 hour sessions because if its teaching it might be too much to try out and practice etc in the breaks, it depends how much you are thinking of teaching us in each class...... and thanks for confirming that date.....buying tickets now ubbrollsmile sooo excited

Im with mo-seph make classes 90mins. It usually takes an hour for my body to get up to speed so I 'll only just be getting things by the last 1/2 hour.

Meg how did you manage to make 6staffs. I couldnt even lift 1staff and by the way what are staff head protectors?? Do they protect the head of the staff or your head from the staff?
