hi.
i dont know if this is a move that has been named or what, so i was wondering if you could help me...
i'd do a search but i dont know what to search for so if you wanted to tell me to do a search, then by all means, what should i search for?
spinning the poi on horizontal planes on either side of your body, in opposite directions (ie right hand poi goes down forward up back and left hand poi goes down back up forward) in an alternate beat, spinning through a 3-beat weave.
firstly, whats this called?
secondly, has anyone done it?

i did a durbs and figured out it wasnt a butterfly, but rather a
reverse split-time 3 beat weave
(or something - i cant find the thread that had the name... but it was real cool and reminded me of how german words are real long...)

you could call it the 'horizontal mexican weave' if you wanted. I don't think that's taken and mexican-ness apparently implies cross-body seperation.
it might make a good stumper for the 'insides' thread as to whether this contains inversions. as diagrammed above, it's just a seperated corkscrew though, basically. if you're doing it longarm and turning, you've got horizontal flowers. without turning, i dunno. 'seperated longarm corkscrew' or something, maybe. you'll prolly just have to end up explaining it everytime, anyways. especially if it's a 'horizontal butterfly weave' instead of a corkscrew.

however, seeing as the corkscrew is really just a horizontal windmill, maybe this move needs a whole new name for itself too
