Posted: Thanks. I am going to pick him up from the Vet now. He spent the night at the hospital for the procedure. So far he is doing okay. I just hope the reason for his heart disease is not cancer or a naturally weak heart. Once again thanks.

Posted: Back to the Vet in a few minutes... He is happy to be home but is still icky. It is awful having to watch him like this. He keeps stumbling and tripping. Every time this happens my heart jumps. This is torture. It will be a couple days before pathology comes through with the results of the fluid tests. I just hope he makes it. It looks like his belly is swelling again. I don't know what to do if it does again. The Vet gave me a Chinese Supplement called Yunnan Paiyao to give to him. I researched it and apparently it is some kind of wonderful herb used to stop bleeding. I hope it works on Max... Sigh.. Most sincere thanks, Logan

Posted: Oh and just if you are curious Max is a Portuegese Water dog, all black aside from the tips of his feet and a spot that looks like the number 1 on his chest in white. Just imagine the cutest dog on earth thats him... off to the vet now...
