Hello, I am Jacki. I am 16 years old from Oregon. I've only been learning Poi for a few months, but I'm very interesting and would love to find out about the Portland fire scene, if there is one.
Let's see, more about me...I'm a student of belly dance, I host/lead a philosophy discussion group at my house and I'm currently researching non-violent communication.
Aspirations/Inspirations: If all goes well, next year I will hike the complete Pacific Crest Trail. For now I'm just surviving high school. My life goal is to add beauty to the world.
And...that's me. Or the bare minimums of me that can be put in an online post.

It's always great to see new folks from Portland and you picked the right time to check us out because the Portland Fire and Drum Jam is this Sunday. For September we are meeting on the 1st and 3rd Sunday. Starting in October we will be going to the 1st Sundy, at least I think that is the plan. It's posted on the HoP Calendar so if you need any additional directions PM me.
There is also an event out in Newberg every Friday if you can get out there. It's at George Fox University and starts around 8:00pm. The nice thing about this is that we get to practice indoors, out of the rain, and if it isn't raining too hard we go out to the parking lot for some fire. This is also on the HoP Calendar, or at least this Friday is, we are still getting the calendar updated.
You are welcome to come to either or both. If you need directions or anything else, just PM me.

Of course I'll be there! Wouldn't miss it for the world. It'll be a busy weeked, spinning at Alex's work on the 18th, BBQ on the 19th & my friend Shannon moves to California & I'm taking her to the airport on the 20th. Each day that's over 100 miles driving! Anyways, I'll try to bring something good for the pot luck & I'll be bringing my BBQ grill with me for everyone's use.
& YES Rose should come too!!!! If youcan go, get ahold of Gidg or I for directions & if you ever get up to Salem, let me know...that's where I live!
