Hello! *waves*
I have a bad tendency to frequent forum boards without ever registering or posting, when I finally do register.
But, let's see..
I'm Angela. 18. Female. I'm from Maryland. Glen Burnie, to be exact. Will be at St. Mary's College of Maryland come fall. As to my character, I'm in transition over the summer. Let me tell you, though, what characteristics are shared between my old and new personality..
Oo yay. I like poi. I've been visiting these boards for months now, but to register right away would be out of my character, indeed. I'm a newbie. Sad, but true.
I like piercings and tattoos. A few days ago, I had my nips pierced.. so I've been out of practice.. cause the tug and pull on them is a pain! Literally.
I like meeting new people. I'm nice, sometimes.. in the process of being nicer. I work. I work at an independently-owned computer store that no one has ever heard of before. I just work for the money, computers don't interest me like other things.
So, uh, I like to draw.. but I haven't in forever. I like to read.. a lot.. but I've run out of books on my bookshelf.
I like girls.. which, excuse me for saying so bluntly, but it is a part of who I am. (No, I definitely will not hit on anyone I meet. And please don't judge me for this.)
I am currently entering myself into a vigorous schedule so I may obtain good physical fitness.. hah, we'll see how that goes.

Also trying to become fitter - Kinda regretting now those biscuits and chips i bought yesterday

I've been doing poi for as long as I've been visiting these boards.. so a few months. But there was a long period of time in between where it had to take a backseat due to school and work. Now it's summer, so apart from work and sleep, I have quite a bit of time to get back to what really makes me happy.
(I still can't do jack apart from the very basics.. so um, I'm hoping that will change over the summer because I'll actually have time! Imagine that.)
I learned about it from another forum board, actually. It doesn't matter which one, because it was an off-topic post asking people what their hobbies were. Someone mentioned it. I didn't know what it was.. so I looked it up and bam! Instant fascination.
My efforts are going goooood btw. Thanks for asking. Seeing as now I also have time to.. gasp, exercise! I've given up soda, pizza.. not that those things particularly appealed to me in the first place, but eh..
The next step is to give up everything mint chocolate... oooooooh, I don't know how I will ever be able to go on.

whats up anjela, i'm very familiar with st. marys and the small "scene" down there there are alot of ravers and fire spinners out there beleive it or not. it's hard to believe considering the area but there's alot of underground out there. i've never formally taken lessons in poi but i'm wicked with it. my tip to you is blindfolds. anytime you figure something out blind fold yourself and repeat the move until you can see exactly what is going on with the poi without actually seeing. learn the feel and you're gravy. as far as showing you some moves i have alot i've never seen on anywebsite yell at me at nuage420b@aol.com and i'll let you know when im going to either a club, massive or underground and i'd be happy to show you a thing or two. o, one last word of advice. learn to spin behind your back. it's a must to look like a seasoned pro
