U tell a riddle. Basic Rules. Guess it. He/she/thing who guesses correctly wins and tells the next one...
I'll start.
When it is broken, it still works.
Beating pains it not...
bit small and crappy, but a bit hard.
The existance of flamethrowers says that someone, somewhere, at sometime said "I need to set that thing on fire, but it's too far away."

the bed is the irrelevant thing, it's just there so that people don't complain that the guy is being treated unfairly or something. Also remember the room is completely surrounded by (heavily armed) guards but no, he doesn't stab them with a knife.

Ok, this one is kind of long, but it's a good one...
Two men both want to marry the same woman, so they go to her father and explain their situation to him. He says to them, "we shall have a race. whoever's horse crosses the finish line last will marry my daughter." So the men take off, going as slow as they can. They stop at an inn for the night. The innkeeper hears their story and knows that the race could go on forever. He says two words to the men and in an instant they're off on the horses, racing to the finish line as fast as they can. I'll get this rolling again:
there are three fisherman who live on an island. One day, like always, they go out fishing and then when they come home at night put all their fish into one pile.
But that night, one wakes up, decides he is tired of these other two slobs and wants to leave. So he goes to the pile of fish, divides it into three equal piles, finds one fish left over (which he throws into the ocean), takes one pile as his third of the catch, combines the remaining two piles, and sails off.
Later that night, another wakes up, and decides it is time to move to the mainland and find a wife. The only thing I can think of is limescale where water evaporates into calcium carbonate - which is a bit like bone,,,
