It's him AND his badgers. Before he went to be on of the Dreaded Badgers and was the King of the Badgers. The man has one wicked sense of humor.

But the question now how long before he gets back to HoP? He's having problems accessing the site right now and he goes to hospital on Monday for a couple of days.

Me?
Bloodyhell, I'm not very interesting.

I'm pretty old compared to most of you, I think.
I have a grown up kid. He's left home now and has to pay his own bills.
I Live in Wales though I wasn't born here.
I do poi, and although I'm not very good at it I'm getting better. I nearly managed to thread the needle the other day! (only nearly though. It turned into a split time butterfly instead.)
I live with my bloke, we have been together 10 years.
We have a dog, a Jackdaw and some sex mad cockateils that keep laying eggs and making more cockateils.
Err...I'm running out of interesting things to say.
I have long hair and I want the next Harry Potter book to come out now. (god, that sounds so childish)
Ok I've run out of stuff.
What about you?
I bet you can think of more stuff about you than I can about me. ubbrollsmile

Hi Molly

Yeah, I got a right telling off, didn't I, Am I forgiven now?

Thankyou for your kind compliments about the jackdaw. Mostly they eat insects and whatever they can find. But ours insists upon cheese, (stilton with apricot) cheerios and crisps.
We spoilt him and now it's too late to change him.

Moles eat worms, don't they?

shhh!

actually she (molly) got given a very realistic one (worm) from a joke shop by my flat mate yesterday
:shudder:
bit alarming to come across when you aren't expecting it

why do so many animals like cheese and crisps?
my bunny had a passion for beef flavoured crisps but then he was a bit funny in the head

of course you are forgiven (not that you needed to be - Laura just went off on one)

so jackdaws aren't birds of prey type beasties then?

Ooh, surprise fake worm, nasty.

Cheese and crisps? I don't know, but if the number of birds around chip shops has anything to do with it, then perhaps it's the fat.

The bigger corvids like ravens and crows will kill small animals I think, though even they are mostly carrion eaters. Jackdaws are a bit small to be killing anything bigger than insects I suppose. The beaky (our jackdaw, who, like your bunny, is funny in the head) loves insects so long as he don't have to kill them himself. Lazy gits scared of spiders.

I had a look in my gallery today and I couldn't believe how many people have looked at him. He must be the most famous one eyed jack in the world!

Second I wanted to show you all my jackdaw. Thisis the only computer photo we have of him.

Nice jackdaw.

I remember when I was a kid I was in the yard with my brothers and this huge black crow appeared.

Wierd thing was it could talk!

I didn't imagine it, the thing spoke. Afterwards we figured maybe it had been a pet and picked up some words like parrots and budgies do.

How did you come to have a jackdaw for a pet?

Wow! spooky talking crow!
I compleatly believe you, all Corvids can learn to imitate voices or sounds, (if they want to) there's all sorts of stories about crows and ravens saying funny things.
What did it say? That must have been such a magical, freaky thing to happen to you.

We got ours through the twisted humour of fate.
On the Queens jubilee weekend my bloke went out for some milk and came home with the bird. It had been at the side of the road, buffeted by passing cars and watched by a cat. It allowed him to pick it up, which is a sign of a bird in deep distress, and he brought it home. We thought we would try to fix it and let it go. As we have done before.
However, it couldn't be fixed, it was very young and blind in one eye. The vet said he should be put down, but she couldn't stop us keeping him, even though she tried. She also said he could never be released, so we are stuck with him.
We know someone in the neighbourhood had been shooting them with an air rifle, and he might have been a victim, As he grew the side of his head became more and more deformed as the blind eye shrunk back. Which implies to me that it was an injury rather than a birth deformity.
We called him Beaky, which is discriptive rather than original.
We love him loads, even when he craps on us.
He is also fascinated by the pooter, but he hates the mouse and pecks it mercilessly.

Did it come to lead you back to the land of the living? wink

At one time people used to think that if you split the tongue of a crow it would make for a better talker! Bloody idjits!!!
A family relative had a pet crow when we we were kids. Damn smart bird.

Hey Lillie! hug

Hi Patrick, How's your badgers doing?

Yeah, corvids, lovely arn't they. Ours is a bit thick, because of the head damage.
Since we had him we have met quite a few people who have had them as pets, including one old guy who bought his in a pet shop when he was a kid! Wouldn't be allowed now.
They make good pets, except for the mess, the continual crapping is a bit much.
Splitting the tongues? Horrible. I don't know what's up with people somrtimes.
Sick puppies.

Beautiful picture!
thank you Psycho Lemming.
My bloke keeps hinting that we should go climb Snowdon, because he did it when he was young (as did I). However he thinks we should climb it together.
I am holding out for the train.
Hello Skully & Goth Frogette.
You are all always welcome here. Have a 'new praline flake.' They had a box at the garage and my bloke bought half of them for me in case they sold out! Is that love or what?
