hey - i want to try and get into poi of fire dancing etc. how do i get into it. somebody help!...i always used to think you need a liscence or it was illegal to swing fireballs around.. hmm... if i want to learn, where would i start?

hey welcome home qshot fist of all choose your weapon!there are so many to choose from poi staff meteors ect.my tool of choiuce is the long saff i started staff when i was like 10 years old no fire though just never thought of it wish i did the staff has many possibilities and looks great i have also started poi still no fire . i would suggest making some safty poi its as simple a getting some string attaching it to a wad of toilet paper and wraping it with duct tape check out the poi lessions / staff lessions and start off slow to much to fast and it may become discouraging i also can breathe fire its a little scary at first i started with water to get my techneque down . i would suggest leaving it alone until you master poi or staff as for the law im' not sure about oz but in canada it's perfectly leagal as long as you keep your self safe last weekend after getting home from the bar i decided to pull out the staff and a curios cop had to stop especialy when he seen 10 foot flames being emmited from my face he was only concerned for my safety
