mmmm, brownies

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

prehaps whether or not the essense of a person, say their spirit, has memory. Such as past lifes, and the memory of the spirit helps to shape the new persons talents and what they will be predisposed to... ubbidea

I think it does. I think that you can think of your genes as being a past-life of sorts, since your genes are millions of years old, just in a brand new combination. So you can imagine that you have the influence of tiny bits of bajillions of past lives that form your genome. And your genome, I believe, in many ways, drives your behavior. ubbidea

your genes therefore have a memory, and by that reasoning I have been many many professions in my past lifetimes.. biggrin
prehaps that means that certian gene combinations that are made in your body, mean that certian things may be easier for certian people to learn, such as another language or a musical instrument...
maybe that is how we access the celestial knowledge, in the akeshic files...
from my understanding the akeshic files are avaliable to all people at a cellular level...Have you ever had a question that you have wondered about, and then known the answer immediatly, without a shadow of doubt, but not known how you knew the answer? I think that because for one perfect moment we are comptley in tune with our celluar viberation and have access to all knowledge avaliable to all beings... prehaps thats how people across the other side of the world have exactly the same ideas at exactly the same times... they are dipping into the pool of knowledge together without knowing....
prehaps a very romantisied version... but a gathering of my minds wonderings anyhoo... biggrin

Oooh! Interesting idea! I've so been there, like when I get asked a question and instantly know the answer even though I have no idea how I knew that. Or when I somehow stumble across a brilliant, elegant, and completely non-obvious way of solving a problem. In those moments, the lessons learned in my hundreds of thousands of bits and pieces of past lives, the past lives of a rather large chunk of all the humans who have ever lived, interestingly, they do spring forward and provide answers.

But I think it's interesting how the brain works. How sometimes, it can remember a thing, but not how you learned the thing. And that's important because there are two types of memory. You can memorize facts and you can memorize skills. In general, people with even severe isolated memory loss can still learn and perform skills. Some of the older ones, like walking, are coded in our genes. But others, like shaving, or taking a shower, are not. And yet people with no "memory" still retain these skills.
