Help!
I am looking for those GloPoi that aerotech offers. Think they are at the EJC as well.
Could one of you lucky guys in Denmark ask at their stand when one can buy, how much they will cost and if they are that gorgeous ?
Anybody of you got some Information ?? I MUST HAVE THOSE.

thx

No but I know that Mr Tempest used to sort of work with Aerotech. If that helps?

Perhaps you could get in touch with him instead.

Can't you just order them off the website?
I've got a price list kicking around somewhere, for all the different types and colour combinations.

And yes, they are beautiful - Love mine to itty bitty pieces.

The website says that they will be released mid 2003. Finally Aerotech replied to my enquiry and they told me that they are going to contatc me end of the week again . . .

Durbs, when/where did you buy yours, for how much? Do you have the ones with the strobe effect?
Some experiences you can share ?

thx

Hi PoiBox,

I've got the Proball aerotech's and I love them to bits I'm not exactly sure what the Glopoi are

But all of the Proball ones strobe. You can chose two colours and they can be mixed together to make a solid colour (i.e Orange as mine are yellow and red) or you put them to strobe on different speeds....slow or really fecking fast!

I seem to remember when I bought mine them telling me I could pay a bit extra to upgrade to the GloPoi but I may have just made that up as wishful thinking....

Sorry I can't be much more help to you...I guess it's just a waiting game now

I got my GloMeteors from the website back in May. £95 each (£190 for the pair) White-Blue combination is one of the most expensive combos you can get - Red-Yellow are £130 a pair.

They do strobe (7 different speeds), you can vary the colours brightness (to boost the levels or save battery power), turn individual colours off (so you get a lovely broken arc), randomise, change colour on wrap...
The list goes on!

I'm completely in love with them to be honest - the best money I've ever spent.

As far as I know the GloPoi differ from the GloMeteor as only half the shaft is lit. I think they're still being tested for strength. The GloMetors are perfect for poi-ing, not sure if they're more expensive though.

I'll hopefully be getting some pics and movie of them in action with all their different settings.

On a side note, it's a bit of a luxury, but I would personally reccomend not getting Red-Yellow or Red-Blue Aerotech stuff as these are the most popular combinations. If you're going to spend this much on poi, you might as well get just what you want and get something unique (ish). You can choose from red, blue, green, yellow, orange, white and UV and you can also have each poi a diffent colour as they're all custom made. Oh, and you can't have blue-white as I've claimed them as my own! (Only joking!)

Oh, and I was a bit miffed that they don't come with handles...

A couple of other points...
Unlike the staff (which I thought was basically 2 meteors stuck together or vice-versa) where the two colours don't occupy the same "space", the GloMeteors so share the same space so you get a continuous line, just in different colours.

Also, when ordering, colour 1 - the main colour - isslightly larger than colour 2 as there is a bulb in the end-cap. Doesn't make much difference, but just thought you should know
So for example on mine when strobing I get a blue-white line but with an extra Blue (I think) blob on the end...
I really should get some pics sorted to show you
