Ok, so suppose I send someone a PM and then I delete it after I send it, but before they've read it.
They'll still get it, right?
I just cleaned out my outgoing PM's and some were as yet unread, so I just want to be sure.

I have been working on that assumption too. Shall we try a little experiment? Send me a PM, I won't read it. Then post here to let me know when you have deleted it. And I shall see if it still exists!!!

Yes, they still get it.
i am in the unfortunate habit of deleting all my outgoing pm's all the time. Its rather strange to get one back later, when you had forgotten you sent one in the first place...

Isn't that awful. If that is the case, it means that you cannot be friends with yourself. It also means that you cannot talk to yourself in private, only on public threads. HoP encourages insanity

How weird i actually came online to ask a question about PM's, not the same one though, sorry doc for hijacking your thread but can I just ask does anyone else have it that when they reply to a PM and send it that it deletes the original message sent to you from that person? mine does and its very annoying

Yeah mine does that. I guessed everyone's did, as it keeps down the amount needed to save millions of individual PMs or something.

before i met those lot i thought they'd be a bunch of dreadlocked hippies that smoked, set things on fire ,and drank a lot of tea but then when i met them....oh wait (PyroWill)

I have another question about PM's.
When you send a PM and you click the "choose a name" scroll bar for the contacts does your list come up in alphabetical order?
Mine doesn't. It's a random jumble of names. It's really hard to find people on it. Is there anyway I can make it in Alphabetical order?

Ahhhhhhh! That might be right. Is there anyway of changing it to alphabetical though? I would find it so much easier to use that function if it was an option.

Well thats a bummer if after a year being here someone with a name like Arnold joins and you make friends with them. You'd have to start all over again putting friends on your list....... there has to be an easier way. Where are all the geeky people when you need them...... oh I was forgetting you are a geeky person

Because I don't have enough to do today and to prove we do listen, usernames in the address book like alphabetically because that does make sense.
