HammerHead electro sock diffusion poi

I've found a cheap and easy way to make really nice glow poi.

Components cost less than £10, there's no soldering and cos they're sock poi they're a joy to spin.

Tonight I took them out to a park session and got some feedback- Astrofairie and Rachael liked them a lot.

I also got to see them being spun by someone else for the first time- my honest and unbiased opinion is that they looked superb, I actually prefer them to any other electric kit I've seen including the expensive stuff.

The light is diffused beautifully by the socks giving a wide arc of light that fades inwards like dreamy phosphorus mist from another world.

The video gives an idea of what they look like and the moves that work well with them, but they look better in reality- on the vid there's a strobe effect and it doesn't quite capure the full beauty of the diffused light.

I'm probably going to be at this weekends Rotherham PIP, and will have a set with me.

As I say on the webpage, spinning is one of the genuinly free, genuinly good things in this world; HammerHead poi follow that tradition and I'm really happy that I've been involved in their birth.
