Big Day Out..... nope, Ii's just not the festival it was..... the focus has changed from an alternative music festival to a 'please everyone and make more money festival' IMHO. The only thing that would attract me is Janes Addiction. Fortunately they will be playing a seperate show as well @ the metro. Saw them the last time they were in Oz, and I certainly aint gonna miss another chance to see Perry & the boys

Hey Zoltar - I feel exactly the same way as you do. The only reason I'd be going to the BDO would be to see jane's. Saw Perry when Porno for Pyros did BDO in.... when was it... 95 or 96? Was good, but a distant memory.

I was gonna go to Victoria to the Rainbow Serpent Festival then onto Melb BDO on the 27th.... But if JA is playing at the Metro, I might be a bit happier! I can think of better things to do than wondering around a music festival with a bunch of fashionably angsty teenager (shit! am I becoming one of those jaded old people!?) The last BDO I went to was in 96 or 97.... Went to every single one of them.... right from the first one with Nirvana and Violent Femmes flash fire at BDO 2003?? Yet to be determined.

Do you have JA's australian tour information?

Underworld and Kraftwerk would both be very cool, but Underworld aren't coming to SA, and 2 acts is not enough incentive for me - oh well.

Same here Flashfire... went to all of till bout 99.... I used to love it so much.... but tha magic has gone

The Porno for Pyros show was fantastic..., but isnt everything Perry does?. 96 I believe....

Underworld, well I don't know, they were ordinary before Darren Emmerson joined, and since he left they havent done much for me

And lets be serious, After Rainbow serpent and a birthday weekend at that I aint gonna be in much shape for BDO..... Nope I wont be there

so, with a circus theme - do you think that the BDO marketing machine think that circus culture is popular enough for them to commercialise it.
I wonder if any circus type performances will be happening?
