If you know one to two simple moves and want to do them super fast and not bother learning anything more go for a lighter set of poi that you can spin super fast easy. For progressing to learn a more interesting and varied set of moves these are lovely poi to work with! The difference is incredible I have more contol and balane I can hit my Anti-spins and isolations perfect. They're nice and heavy for great balace yet light enough for control.
