"Not really as 'forgiving' as I expected - more or less as hard as the glow poi I've got and it still hurts when I whack myself (maybe we need some 'beanbag' core poi for the serious noobity-noobs?) although with poi I guess this is to be expected! They are ridiculously cute though so the fun factor of twirling fluro pink fluffballs certainly helps to balance this out. They are MUCH fluffier in real life - less like pom poms and more like miniature Cousin It's :D :D :D Would have preferred one of those slide-tag things to adjust length of string but will survive. All rings/loops seem to be of VERY secure metal so no fear that this thing will fall apart on me very soon like some other poi I've used!!! Quite reasonable shipping (seven days from NZ to Australia) cute little bag. The fur does shed quite a bit so I'll be sure to store these poi carefully when not in use."

My wife is just starting and i have great faith in HOP. so i bought some Pink ones and man are the PINK! i picked the up took em out of the bag to hand to my wife and i just couldnt do it! I HAD TO SPIN THEM! and boy when i did i didnt stop for an HOUR! LOL it was great! just enough wind resistance to keep it from going super sonic and just enough weight to perfectly balance these delicious set of poi. Great for beginner or pro alike! a fine addition to ANYONE'S arsonel! WAY TO GO HOP!!! as always im super impressed!!!!"

"These poi be handed out in a prison for violent offenders and short or strangulation these cant possibly hurt you ;-) Great for spinning in a crowded place light a night club dance floor (if they have UV lights) as you cant give anyone a black eye even if they walk straight into the poi. Not so great for outdoors on a kind of windy day or and I do hate the cords that can get tangled up and not come undone without pulling and picking at knot of cord that can easily develop. Great kids toy - or for drunk learners who are definitely going to hit themselves on the head!"

"I love my fluffy poi. They're like 2 cute little tribbles! But seriously they are fluffy--so when they hit you they don't hurt much. Also the handles are comfortable--each handle has 2 parts--each part fits on the first finger or the second. The cords are adjustable--although I haven't needed to adjust mine. I play with them sometimes in the house as outside is starting to get cold--it is harder not to hit stuff in the house--and I don't recommend it--but I do it anyway. Also if you buy them buy a different color for a friend--so you can practice together--it's more fun that way. And the pink poi look slightly orange under black light--if you want ones to really show up under black light--I recommend a lighter color one--like maybe the white ones. I am not real happy with the black light feature on mine--but really that is only a small disappointment. If I buy any more--I'll pick a different color. It is really true--their service is great! Got my poi order a week early!!"
