Well, chalk me up as the latest HoP kid to do a Home of Poi tour. I just got back to New York and my mind is still aswirl with wonderful thoughts and beautiful smiles.
I of course owe tremendous thanks to everyone who came out to meet me and feed me and shelter me. I really was touched to be so welcomed into so many people's lives. Those that I really got to spend time with will always be in my heart and I'm sure they know it.
The reason why I'm posting this as a general thanks (rather than PMing just those whom I hugged) is that I realized somewhere on my plane ride home that it's really this website alone that has given me the gift of the most wonderful summer ever.
Even people that I didn't get to meet from countries that I didn't get to go to made this site special to me. Special enough to buy a ticket and meet just a few of you.
I know that others have done "HoP" tours as well and I know that they've been just as touched as I have by the hospitality and warmth shown by everyone here.
Thank you Malcolm, for creating one of the most beautiful and important things in my life. Thank you moderators for working to keep this the warm, fluffy place it really is. Thank you to everyone who's posted warmth and love at any time.
Of course, thanks to the wonderful UK HoP princesses and princes who's couches, floors, beds, and tents I slept in. And for all the hugs. (You all know who you are.)
I have met some of the sweetest and warmest women and honest and caring men over the past few weeks and I owe it all to this little grey website.

NYC was ace to meet you, esp with the 'negatory', cani steal a set of pic you took at the sheff PIP, ill send you the vid soon i promise...i hope you liked the choc dip i got you, i liked the lil picknick we had was a high light!
charles i am HOPeing (get it.... )to a HOP tour to auz at easter and am gonna try and make it there and back in two weeks, so its gonna be tight, and as teh first time i have left the UK for over 5yrs and the firsttime onmy ownit will be a lil weird! i figure ill just take lots of sublime with me and thenjust spinwatchin sunsets, as thats what i wanna see.....i meanreally wanna see....andsamazing sun set or someone in another counrty even a kid go "look at that!"
