typical....

i think about this idea about writing a post on results...

have a 3 hour nap...and someone beats me to it!

yes..im waiting to find out if ive got into kent. hope i do..really really hope i do.

let us not forget all the other people waiting for results... GCSE, um...erm...and the others (shit...sorry but i couldnt think..ive just woken up you see..)

your thinking about it will not change how you did 2 months ago (has it already been that long???)

your life will not change in the way: that it will turn out tomorrow, how it was decided to change yesterday.,

that makes no sense to me whatsoever.

sorry again.

im going back to bed...

oh...and stay beautiful....email me..

bye!
.

oh..and obviously that was a sentence asking stay beautiful to email me.....not for you all to stay bweautiful and for you all to email me...
thats just plain nuts.

A friend (non-poi, yeah, I know, scary, isn't it) is working at UCAS at the moment. She's having a hell of a time. If you do have to ring them up, be nice to the person at the other end, they're as stressed as you are. Good Luck with the results, I'm sure they'll be fine.

good luck, but i promise you all even if you dont get the results you want there will always be a plan b!

and in a few years like me, (now 20 and going into my thrid year at uni) they will never mean as much to you as they do now, cos in two days time they will be just letters on your cv!

they mean nothing, just letter!

later days

indeed, it's called go through clearing and take a crap course at the same uni. Work hard and at the end of the first year change to the first year of your original choice course. It worked for me, i got to be a fresher twice and now i'm about to enter the 3rd year of my first choice course which i didn't get anywhere near the required alevel grades for. Once you have a uni degree alevels are meaningless. Had i known i could have done this i would have gone clubbing even more often during the alevel exam period than i did

And yet again we get the annual round of "A-levels are getting easier" shock/horror crap from the Daily Mail et al.,

If you didn't get the results you wanted it really doesn't matter as universities will let you in with about 10 points less than they said, and in my 10 years of post A level life doing technical jobs no employer has ever cared what I got.

Good luck anyway. Halfway decent results will let you feel all smug during Fresher's week

There is a slight possibility that I am not actually right all of the time.

Damn new system. I did Clearing for 4 years and still don't know how the old system relates to the new. For clarification, 10 points (old)= A, 8 points = B etc.

There is a slight possibility that I am not actually right all of the time.

i think an A is now 100, B 80, C 60 etc at A level and at AS level is all half points...ie... an A at as level is 50 points.

Magnus...i know two people who i bet have got better than yours..

1)my cousin.. 5 A's at A-level

2)bloke in my school...SIX (yes..six) A's at A-level!

i got... 2 E's and a C. E for german and physics (wierd seeing as i didnt pass any of this years modules!!!) and a C for general studies!

so..

I got 160 points bang on.

Anglia wanted 160 (and have been bumming me harshly with hand writen notes!!)

Bristol wanted 220 with a D in german... most likely to have me..

Kent wanted 260 plus a BC in german.....rang them up and they said they are still thinking about accepting me. BUT they dont know about my IT coursework not being marked.

IM SOOOO EXTATIK!!

I don't understand the UK points system at all, it sounds a lot nicer than the poxy Irish one, but anyhow cool that things working out for you : ) Will keep fingers crossed re: Kent for ya
