The Key's been turned, the engine is groggy, there's tons of smoke from the exhaust which just backfired, the seats are grimy, the doors could fall off, so could the wheels, the exhaust makes a pretty trail of sparks as it drags along the road, it's so old it runs on flintstone foot power, the cigarette lighter gives you an electric shock and the radio is stuck on classic fm, but at least you've got a car. tongue

well, my current car doesn't start because the (brand new) battery is now flat coz it hasn't been driven , because when it WAS turned on the engine made such a load rattling / knocking noise I thought it was trying to get into the drivers seat frown

and now the car my mum was going to get for me (only a couple of hundred quid but still the best gift ever) has been found to have some problems by the garage... it would be ok if I was only going to do short trips around town, but for sustained thrashing on the motor way it is apparently not worth buying as it would soon give up frown so no new car yet... we have to keep looking for a replacement as mum knows I need something like a large hatchback or an estate due to loads of toys and frequent long driven trips...

none of that matters however because as long as I get to see the important people in my life then I'm as happy as a pig in a food shop tongue
