Hey there everyone,

Well, now that I'm close to post number 300 I thought I'd do an intro thread... it seems like I'll be hanging around for a while now biggrin

Edit:

Yep, this is all changed cos I'm not feeling as sentimental as I was when I wrote the last intro.

I'm 28, live outside Belfast in Northern Ireland, run the fire performance group FirePoise (www.firepoise.com), like to travel and good music.

My myspace page is www.myspace.com/clarepalmer

Take care

bye

Not sure what i can do with them instead though.

Yeah New Year's was indeed lovely. Had a few friends over and we had dinner and games and a little ritual that involved burning things. Had hoped to get a spin in but the weather was against us.

Sounds like you got some spinning in? Bummer about the drunk fools; I'm sure they were just in the "fire pretty" place. ubbtickled We've all been there, haven't we?

Lol, I wish. But I don't think the Belfast mentality extends as far as fire appreciation.

It normally falls along the lines of 'whatchu doin' that for?' or 'look what she's doing for attention' or 'make sure those things don't burn me' - that last one is usually accompanied by the type of look you give something that gets stuck to the bottom of your shoe.

Very few people appreciate fire performance here and the majority of our little fire crew in the north is from other parts of the world. Sad, but true.

Ahem. Ok, moving on from attacking my hometown... glad you had a good new year biggrin

You seem to have inadvertantly forgotten to include your favourite colour in your initial post. Although, that's not strictly true. It was there last time i paid attention, but you appear to have stripped all of the fact out of the post and now I'm slightly baffled. I'm going to guess red and/or blue. If it's neither then it's simply tough and you only have yourself to blame....

ps one of those funk CDs you sent me seems to be infested with reggae eek I immersed it in bleach as soon as I realised. Do you think it will be ok or will i need to cleanse it with fire too?

Lol, hey there darlin'

My favourite colour is purple or dark green.
And I deleted all that stuff because i was feeling highly sentimental when I wrote it - now i don't feel so sentimental. More bitter and cynical ubblol

But red/blue is close enough... tis purple if you mix em together biggrin

eek Leave that CD alone - heathen! eek
(which one, btw, surely not Plantlife?!)

Hope you enjoyed the reindeer poo.

See you in Falmouth young man.
Btw, you are disturbingly close to having 10,000 posts, I'd start planning the party now hug

Lol. There is a little forest behind the houses across the road which is the remenant of an old plantation, so yes, I suppose so.

It's called plantation because the road used to mark the outskirts of a very large plantation that covered more or less the entire of Bangor (the town I'm from).

Not-so-interesting historical fact of the day biggrin

we have a wood called The Moss. It's a small swampy region that is just a little too shitty to build on (even by modern building standards).

I got lost in it the other day when i was trying to fill time, waiting for the post office to reopen after lunch.

It's not big enough to get lost in. And yet i did. I think it has a sort of woooded tardis effect.

Ssshh don't mention that. I have a sneaking suspicion that Flash Fire is going to do something nasty to my account before I hit the 10,000 mark. She keeps dropping hints about hobbling excessive postees.

I won't say I've never done anything to her because it'll just turn out that i've been psychologically abusing her behind my own back for years....
