Ok this is an official update of my mouldy old intro. every time that i accidentally bring up the first page of this instead of the recent one, i get a case of "geez i'm a tool writing such a dodgy intro". so i thought i'd put a fresh intro up for me to feel embarrased about biggrin

Here's some information about me...

i live in melbourne, where things are often rainy. raininess makes me sad.

i go to the ever wonderful melbourne sunday spinning, where all the lovely melbourne kids go. If you live anywhere near melbourne and you're checking out this intro to suss out what type of people go on sundays, i highly recommend you come along.

i'm a student nurse, so i get terribly excited about health. it also means that i will intermittently whinge about going on clinicals. i secretly love being on clinicals though.

i'm also a disability support worker, which i've done for ages. i love it heaps, but like any job, it has it's moments.

i live with my boyfriend, who i tend to complain about a lot also, but i love him to bits, even when he gives me the sh!ts.

someone once asked me to sum myself up in 5 words, and i came up with independent, caring, firey, needy and...oh bugger i can't remember the last. i'm sure it was good though biggrin

well, i can't think of anything else to put there, so i'll leave it till i start cringing whenever i see this intro tongue

and just so that the initial comments here are in context, here's what my intro originaly said....

"hey, I registered with HoP a few days ago in a procrastination attempt (1exam to go), and this whole talking-to-people-on-the-other-side-of-the-world thing kinda freaks me out. Anyway, I been reading peoples messages, which seems a bit voyueristic, since I haven't really introduced myself. I live in victoria, and I'm studying nursing, play with poi, but haven't 4 ages. please reply with something encouraging, otherwise I'll get scared and feel unwelcome. frownThen I'll be stuck with playing solitaire."

woooooooooo!!! bounce2 i got my ticket to south east asia today ubbrollsmile i'm so excited. i'm going with a uni friend. we're leaving 30th of december and getting back on the 15th of february. it's going to be the longest i've been away from my boyfriend in about 4 years (the maximum stands at about a week so far redface) so that's going to be interesting.

we're going to start off in thailand, then go to cambodia, then vietnam, and finish off in laos. i have an auntie i've never met in phuket, so it's going to be great meeting her. i really need to get saving. i have enough for my trip, but not enough to pay my rent and everything while i'm gone and earning no money. i also don't want to come home to an empty bank account, especially when i'll have uni fees and school books to buy. and knowing my luck my car will probably blow up when i come back.

i'm SO excited! biggrin

ry: yup, i'm pretty excited, not to the point where i'm packing, but near enough biggrin yeah it's going to be tricky for me and dan spending so long apart, we've never spent so long away from each other. i'm sure there'll be lots of sappy "i wuv you"s over the phone rolleyes hehehe

ok, so things are looking pretty dicey for me at the moment. i'm being accused of plagiarising an essay that i did for uni. i don't think that i need to tell you guys that i didn't, but it's such a horrible thing to be accused of. i'm in the process of accessing the articles i'm suspected of plagiarising, the library they're in isn't open now, but it shouldn't be too hard to get a hold of them, and once that's done it shouldn't go any further.

it's disappointing, because it was an essay i was really pleased with. i'm worried that now that the unit coordinator's got it in her mind that i've been dodgy, that'll affect how she marks my work. i'm requesting for someone else who won't be biased to mark it, but it's ending up being a bit of a long winded process.

Mind you this is right before exams. it's not like i don't have better thigns to be worriing about than trawling through library shelves and liasing with student unions. ubbcrying

thanks, talex and lou hug i'm actually having a lot of trouble finding one of the articles. i only have access to the abstract/overview of the article, and i've been tearing my hair out trying to find out how to get a copy.

good news is that i've got a copy of the other article, which is a big releif. i was actually really worried as i was reading though it, just in case they coincidentally used the same wording as me rolleyes ubblol

ry: i had to go to monash clayton to get this article, you'd be able to appreciate how lost i got there. i felt very much like a little kid in a big kids domain, compared to my insular little uni. this whole plagiarism experience makes me feel like a little kid in a big kids domain come to think of it :Philosophical face:

ok, if anyone thinks they can help me find this article, please let me know. me being bad at searches isn't just limited to HoP smile i know its a long shot, but i'm clutching at straws. here's the details...
