Name: Daniel

Location: Minas Gerais, Brazil

Hometown: São Paulo, Brazil

Birthday (sign?): Jan 7th, Capricorn, Horse, Water

Age: just turned 21

Sex: Male

Occupation(s): Farmer? yeap farmer, poi fanatic...

Favorite Food(s): oh, Sushi- but i´ll admit to loving food in general

Favorite Color(s): icy blue, rich purple, deep orange

What is the wing speed of an unladen swallow? depends, african or european swallow?

Toys: Poi, Legos, Photoshop

Hobbies other than the obvious: i´m almost as fanatical about art, i love to draw, and when i can i enjoy working 3D with clay

Education: graduated a little earlier from highschool, since then i´ve just been learning on my own

Favorite Book(s): I´m into fiction- The Bartimaeus Trilogy, His dark materials Trilogy, Abhorsen Trilogy, The Foundation series, Harry Potter Series... this list would be huge, just about anything that can transport you to another world...

Favorite Movie(s): You know, i´m ashamed of it, because it has a lame story line, but something about Tron Legacy has me pretty gripped.. maybe its the fact that those disks/clothes/bikes look like something you would find at the flowtoys website... Avatar, Ninth Gate, Fight Club, Ghost in the Shell, Matrix I, My Neighbor Totoro, Zombieland, this list would also be huge...

Godzilla vs. a Star Wars Star Destroyer. Who wins? Why? PSSHH... Star destroyer, course. Giant [poorly designed] moon cannon VS Rubber Barney? It would be raining char broiled lizard steak for a week...

Favorite TV show(s): mmmmm... yea... i´m one of those anti-tv hippies.

Plans for life in general: (i.e. what you want to do when you grow up)- This is one of those questions you avoid in modern society when you´re 21 and you don´t seem to have any plans for college... Truth be told i´d be just as happy teaching/practicing permaculture on a farm out in the sticks as i would be teaching/performing poi in a circus school, or both, with some freelance art on the side...

Favorite Music Artists/Composers: i´ll make the most bizare (but truthful) list i can-> Daft Punk, The Police, Mos Def, The Beatles, David Brubeck, Rage against the Machine, Milton Nascimento, Led Zeppelin, Lô Borges, Electric Six, Yes, Pearl Jam, Reel Big Fish, Saul Williams, AC/DC, Dresden Dolls, Queen, The Clash, Gorillaz, War, John Coltrane, Shpongle, Boards of Canada, Astor Piazzolla, Gilberto Gil, The Doors, Dave Mathews Band, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Mercedes Sosa, [sigh] yea, i could go on, i enjoy music quite a bit...

Do you think these pants make my butt look too big?

Favorie ice cream flavor(s): Mint Chocolate Chip!

Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella?* oh damn. heres the danger of being a hippie again... does Tahini count? can i start my own Tahini church? Those other ones... well... to start off i had to google the first two... and Nutella is failsauce to me... *hides behind a rock*

Ooo.... I like your book list. Stroud, Asimov and Nix are amazing.

Welcome to HoP!

His Dark Material. Loooooove!!! I always thought they were kids books until I read them. I really don't think young kids these days would be able to understand the connection between the Magisterium in the books and the church and government in real life and how they want to cut away your soul from your body so you will listen and obey every command without ever having thoughts of your own. Bah! Love that trillogy. I should read them again it's been a while.

What would your daemon be?

i agree, Pikaluk, and that was one of my major let downs with relation to the movie that came out based on the first book... The movie, even after being watered down and "tamed", was attacked by the church. It is not too surprising that the second two movies are (as far as i understand) not being made... There would be absolutely no way to water down the second two movies without killing the storyline completely-
-but, the non existance of free speach and creative liberty aside-

what would my daemon be... hah good question...

i´d say some kind of bird, a big one, or a big cat... something quiet but intelligent and a bit dangerous...?

how about you?
