Howdy y'all. My name is David, and I live on the beautiful Central Coast of California. Far enough away from both L.A. and S.F. so I don't go crazy, yet close enough so that I can. I'm 34, but so what. Really, aren't we as old as we feel? So, I'm still just a kid. Gimme my toys, I don't wanna go to work today. smile
I've been spinning for about a month now, and loving it. I'm getting the basics down, although the buzz saw is a serious buzz kill for me. Still can't quite pull that one off. But, I have found some fun routines using all the different turns with the 3 beat weave and the corkscrew/windmill moves. I can pretty much spin 360' in both directions now, so high five to me.
I took a bad fall on my bicycle a couple years back, and dislocated my shoulder. Not too bad, I can still surf, but basically, I compressed my right shoulder inside the clavicle. It actually sounds worse than it is. I started spinning, and two things. 1st, my surfing endurance has improved drastically. I spin, on average, 10-15 hours a week, and that has had some obvious advantages for my paddle power. smile
2nd, last week I looked in the mirror, and my shoulder is starting to realign itself. Friggen awesome! It still pops and groans, and the muscles tend to tire a little earlier than my left, and non-dominate arm, but I attribute that to basic rehabilitation.
So, I am excited to find a new hobby that I can share with my friends. We have more than a couple fire spinners (and other skills) in our troupe, so the inspiration is always there.
In my downtime, I like to read or play guitar. As I've already said, I ride bikes and surf. I love hiking and backpacking as well. And nothing is better than a good food (well, almost nothing wink )
in good company. And to answer what I eat, almost everything, although I don't care for MSG. It tastes amazing, but it seems to leave me wanting more. mmm, go figure.
Let us see, Star Wars Destroyer, because it's a Star Wars Destroyer. Godzilla might stand a chance if he got together with Mothra and some of the others, but all alone, I think he's burnt toast.
Yes, those pants DO make your butt look big, where in the world did you get them?
And I have no idea about the veggiemite, nuttela, question. Umm, yes?
Ahh, and my favorite ice cream, mint chocolate chip, hands down.
Happy Spinning, see ya in the park!

Welcome to HoP!

Enjoy a marmite crumpet and avoid the squirrels.

Buzzsaw takes a bit of work, but is well worth it.

'We're all mad here. I'm mad, you're mad." [said the Cat.]
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "Or you wouldn't have come here."
