Hey everyone! I'm a belly dancer from Canada and this summer I got into fire toys, dance-centric ones obviously cuz I still love to belly dance.
I use fire fans and palm torches, and I've performed live a few times already in Edmonton and up here in northern Alberta.
I am also learning and performing Egyptian, cabaret and tribal belly dance and perform solo and as a group with my troupe the Aurora Sisters.
I kind hate lists so I'm gonna answer the list but not so list-y. I'm Susan and I perform as Sisu. I'm Alberta born and bred, and I live by Peace River AB now, very pretty and not very big. Not much of a fire community up here! I'm pioneering it.
I'm a Pisces, most creative of the signs, totally a water sign too - weird to be into fire now, for that I blame my welder/artist blacksmith husband. He made my fans for me, which is wicked, and he's my safety.
Besides dancing I like to write. I've got a BA in Honours English Lit. Also loving getting new tats - I've got a full chest piece.
My fave books and movies are generally fantasy or kinda political and dystopian- love Neil Gaiman, and movies like Pan's Labyrinth, The Last Unicorn, Conan the Barbarian, Donnie Darko, Labyrinth, The Princess Bride, Run Lola Run, and also Brazil, SLC Punk!, and Ladies and Gentleman the Fabulous Stains.
For TV, love SOA! Not much else.
I'm into rockabilly music, punk and garage mainly, but I also like a lot of electronica and middle eastern for dancing obviously.
And who doesn't love Nutella?
I just put up a vid of a rehearsal in the vid section if you wanna see where I'm at for learning to use fire fans. Hoping to make some better quality vids soon, as I progress.

I know it's hard to believe but there are some on here that prefer yeast by-product to chocolatey goodness. They might think they're rebels but we all know the enlightenment Nutella brings.

I remember the old one, but I remember the newer cartoon series better. I just remember it being slightly darker and creepier. Not really ghost busters fashion, but still cool.
