Hello everyone,
My name is Hillary and I am very, very new to poi but am already obsessed! I just made my own pair of sock poi and am hitting myself and everything in my room with them. I'm 22 and am from the Washington, DC area. My hobbies include: reading, crafts, making jewelry (currently making recycled jewelry), working on my online business (https://www.bandersnatchdesigns.etsy.com), drawing, writing, poetry, painting, photography, dyeing my hair crazy colors, getting tattoos, piercings, cooking, baking, gardening, astronomy, mythology, history, finding new music (I can't live without music), hiking, working out, my animals ( I have 6 cats and one dog lol)...etc. I love making new friends, talking to people, being outdoors and in nature, making people laugh, and am very easy to get along with.
Right now, I'm listening to The Black Keys, MGMT, The Sound Of Animals Fighting, Circa Survive, Menomena, Wintersleep, The Kills, Local Natives, Arcade Fire, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Metric, Tegan and Sara, Silversun Pickups, Broken Bells, and Gregory and The Hawk. If you have any suggestions for bands, I'm open. I love sharing new music with people.
As far as my favorite spread, I gotta say Nutella. I've never tried the vegimite or marimite.

Welcome to HoP! I hope you enjoy it here on out little forums, not sure if you can tell, but I live in the great area known as Detroit. Where we are spinner deprived, I know of 2 people by me that spin and they're both about an hour and a half away so feel lucky to be close by to people

I have a question for you guys. I REALLLLYYYY want a pair of LED poi, and I'm not sure which would be better: rainbow so that it's all the colors, or RGB strobe. I can offically do crosses now. My arms are extremely grateful that they're not being bruised constantly anymore haha.

Welcome! For color changing LED's, you can't go wrong with Oggz, or those balls from the HOP shop. I'm starting to like the effect of flowlights, I have to get some of those for myself.

. I checked out some vids, and I do like the rainbow LED. the strobe one is pretty cool, but I like the idea of it changing color continuously. And thank you anelaen for the beautiful music. Couscous, the food so nice they named it twice.
