thinking a little more on that, I think I can also provide trees and lawn for nekkid midnight dancing with chickens next door for the witchy curses. One of my long ago ancestors was reputed to be the village witch and her "cursing bone" is even in the local museum.
*goes to see if he can find it*
oooh yes - here it is!
See I know about witches - it's in the blood you know! That's why I've got Rouge so completely under my spell biggrin

Oh, my gosh...That's hilarious!!!

My background is predominantly Scottish...but I'm very aware that there is no such thing as curses...was just the ignorance of a bunch of very superstitious people...

Being made of deer bone and oak...it would be a protective talisman...for the aid and protection of the god...

Very cool...!!!

pssst...good luck with bewitching dragons...just be careful that you don't get scorched!!!

yeah - I never said I'd be doing midnight dancing, nekkid or otherwise.

Hang on though, me in the cauldron?? confused where'd that come from?!

That Scottish witch I think her name was Catherine McNeur. She was the one that parents used to frighten their kids into being good "or else she'll come and get ya" eek !! My other relative of the same era/locality name of Sandy McNeur was apparantly the town drunk (or one of them) and died of drinking whisky from a cracked mug. Dunno exactly how you do that - the impression was bugs grew in the cracked pottery but I always thought the whisky would've taken care of any bugs! ubblol

Ancestors - skeletons in the closet somewhere! Had to be some interesting relatives somewhere as most the rest of them were ministers/missionaries.

Ye...real skeletons in your closets!!! eek

I would think the dying from a cracked much would probably have to do with the fact that alot of crockery had lead in it years ago...so it could have been lead poisoning...a horrible, slow death...sorry...

Oh, I have lots of 'innnnteresting' ancestors...I also had a great-great grandpa that went AWOL from the Civil war after he decided he'd had enough of the Yanks shooting at him...

His story afterwards about that last battle he was in was...

'I stood behind a tree and shot till my gun got too hot to hold...and the Yankees shot the bark off the tree around me...and after that, I decided it was time to go home.'

He made it thru the war, and thru being captured by the Yankees...and then came home and died very soon afterwards of pnuemonia...go figure... shrug

And of course I've told my story about Col. Crawford, before...so I won't go into that one, again...but I've certainly had fun finding out about some of my family...and oooh...related to one of the early American presidents, too...Andrew Jackson...

Okay...enough babble...
