Location: The wrong place
Hi! I'm really new at this but, considering that I'm a Leo with an Aries/Mars decanate and was born on a Tuesday (Aries/Mars again), my next logical step has to be fire dancing. Always loved the primal quality to fire dance and can't wait to get good enough to show off a bit!

I've never been able to get into the sock poi scene. But then I make my own poi so fixing them or making a new set is no problem.

If I tried to use socks, my daughter would probably try to wear them.
I guess I could make more and probably will, but I liked the ones that I had. I made those too.
One of these days I'll break down and order some real ones.
It's just hard to justify the expense when the kids need and want things themselves.

At last count I have 6 sets of poi, not including fire. Two of them have removable tails so I guess I could say 8 sets. There is no reason for me to use socks.

Believe it or not!
I have two doggie tennis balls that I was planning on using to make another set with anyway.
The ones I had were made from these funny little chamois window scrubbies. Hard to describe but they were perfectly weighted and actually made me laugh when I started beating myself to death with them.
Ah, well. RIP chamois poi. Another day.
BTW, I guess I should feel honored that my friends have been posting on my thread while I was gone.
