Ok I don't know who spends time reading all this, and I should be sleeping by now, but what the heck, here I go! fasten your seatbelts....

Name: Marie-Line

Location: belgium... for way too long now shocked

Hometown: is where my head and heart is, many towns i pass feel more like home than the town I reside in smile

Birthday (sign?): gemini

Age: 2fckn8! too much to do too much to see... time's flying...

Sex: yes, uh, lame, F smile

Occupation(s): web programmer (joomla and php) and person that checked if you REALLY plugged everything in (helpdesk)

Favorite Food(s): mac&cheese!

Favorite Color(s): green

What is the wing speed of an unladen swallow? an african or an european one? be more specific please...

Toys: pois gotten from a friend smile and I love it, am getting really addicted, although I am a totally untalented novice but I won't give in!

Hobbies other than the obvious: ukelele, yoga, couchsurfing and traveling in general (backpackingstyle with often staying longer times at a place volunteering/living).

Education: school? bachelor multimedia... but really life is teaching me a ton more, of course smile

Favorite Book(s): anything I'm reading at the moment almost... being Urban Warrior right now. dont make enough time to read... my favorites are the alchemist, 1/2 of the tao of pooh (then it gets more of the same), and I can't deny my love for the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy and the Harry Potter series.

Godzilla vs. a Star Wars Star Destroyer. Who wins? Why? The Star Destroyer of course! Why? Because Godzilla is a giant heavy reptile that can barely move and is as stuck to earth's gravity as possible, and the Star Destroyer can destroy the solar system he's at in a fraction of a second. Godzilla wouldn't even get to see the destroyer. And he didn't take a towel. No hitchhiking escape for him either...

Favorite TV show(s): Lost, and also the almost only one I really watched the last year

Plans for life in general: (i.e. what you want to do when you grow up) I want to travel the world, helping at projects for good causes, and maybe one day start my own project. Just need to find a smart way to fund everything smile

Do you think these pants make my butt look too big? yes it makes me think the world will end when you fart, seriously

Favorite ice cream flavor(s): cookie dough!!!

Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella?* Nutella it is, maybe cause I don't know any better? I didn't travel enough yet to really choose though smile

Glad to have found this! I admired and tried poi short in Burning Man, but never thought I would really start doing it till a friend gifted a pair to me. And I am so glad he did! Can't wait to get more advanced, hope this site will help me a bit... but of course it's all about just going outside and practice! Even in front of my colleagues during lunch break, hah!

goodluck to all, and ENJOY THE POI!

Welcome!

Try the video lessons, they are pretty helpful.

"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "Or you wouldn't have come here."
