After being away for a while due to personal reasons I've decided to come back. I've missed lots of you and a certain lovely chocolate pirate fairy made me rethink and come back to this wonderful place!

I look a bit different to when any of you last saw me, I'll get round to sorting out a pic soon.

I'm in a fantastic happy relationship with my lovely James who is at college training to be a tree surgeon so he gets to climb trees all day!

for those who don't know me, I suppose I should fill out one of these

Name: Star

Location: Somerset

Hometown: Taunton

Favorite Food(s): Thai, vegetarian sushi, chocolate

Favorite Color(s): Pink purple blue

Toys: poi, hoop, little doubles

Hobbies other than the obvious: being creative - making clothes jewlellery & spinny toys, computer geekyness, photography.

Favorite Book(s): LOTR, Terry Pratchett, David Gemmel

Favorite Movie(s): LOTR, NBX,

Favorite TV show(s): Monk

Plans for life in general: (i.e. what you want to do when you grow up) Not entrirely sure, see what happens!

Favorite Music Artists/Composers: Ray LeMontagne, Zero 7, Pearl Jam, Jack Johnson

Favorie ice cream flavor(s): I'm not allowed ice cream frown if I was, it would be strawberry cheesecake Hagen Das

Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella? (please choose one...this is important as it is essentially this site's equivalent of stating your religion...we have religious wars, crusades, cathedrals to Nutella, all that.) I'm allergic to both but if I had to choose it would be Marmite biggrin

How's the hooooooping going? I seem to remember you were getting rather good at it last time I saw you!?

My state of mind is not yours to define!

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

Hello Miss Star biggrin It's great to have you back biggrin hug

I have to hoop on the bed cause there's no space elsewhere... I'm sure the neighbours find that just as funny as I do!

My wrists? Well, thank goodness they're a bit better, because, more than 18 months after first seeing a doctor about them, I still don't have a diagnosis! In June (14 months after going there first) I had an appointment for a nerve test.

Now, I was quite worried that it might be to do with my diabetes fxcking up the nerves. But luckily thanks to what I remember from my physiology course, and what the technician doing the test said even though she wasn't supposed to, it's obvious that it's the carpal tunnel. Now all I'm waiting for is a doctor to have a look at the results and be bothered enough to write me a letter or give me an appointment to tell me and then let me wait another year to do something about it!

I'm planning to send it all off to a newspaper or magazine at some point, it's ridiculous really. If I wasn't feeling better now, and far too busy finishing the PhD to consider not being able to use my hands for a while, I'd be seriously pissed off. shrug

Aaaaah enough moaning biggrin More happy bouncing for having you back instead!!

Hey Auntie Star biggrin

How are you? I am fine and my feet are looking better than ever. How are you feets?

I talked to a rabbit a few weeks ago. he was all fuzzy and he smelled of soil. I asked him if he knew Rascal and Simba but he said he didn't know them, but if he ever met them then he would say hi and give them a hug from me.

Daddy is upstairs at the moment holding a paintbrush and beating his head on a board, muttering things like; "How can it be so tricky?" and "I can draw a celtic knot, why can't I draw a s*dding tree?"
He is silly sometimes i think.

I hope you are having a good day

I'm doing much right now. I've been stuck at home doing nothing for weeks because my car has refused to work but everytime I got a mechanic out to look at it, it has worked!! It finally stayed broken for him to come and look at it last night and he thinks he knows what wrong so hopefully I should have it back soon *fingers crossed!* and I can resume 'normal' life!

It's strange (and good) being back, there are so many new people, poi seems to have got even more geeky and I'm completely out of touch with everything thats going on!

I still get a shock when I look in the mirror! Not used to looking so 'normal!'

hooping convention! that sounds fun - as long as they don't make hooping geeky!! I wanna go!

I might be getting my kitten today. I'm soooooo excited. I am going to see some this evening. How am I supposed to choose!?! I'll want to take them all home!
