Hai forum, I'm new around here as of like ohhh 5 seconds ago so I wanted to introduce m'self. My name's Jess, I live in Idaho but am originally from Rhode Island. I'm 23 and a new mother of twin girls named Indigo and Avalon. I've been poi-ing off and on for a little over a year now...it's a good remedy for stress!
I joined in the hopes of being able to learn what I'm doing wrong through other people, find advice, tips and better ways of teaching myself here at home. Much love and stay brite!~~~J

The best poi tip i have come up with is switch to staff /shrug

Welcome! I'm new around here too. I actually found that taking decent breaks from poi kind of lets your brain work on any new tricks you had been trying so that when you pick them up again you figure out that trick almost instantly. I don't get the whole nutella team thing, but I guess I'm a member too so...welcome!

I've totally felt that...when I couldn't figure out a move I would sleep on it and practice mentally, next day I could pick it up and easily do it. Strange...I wish it would work that way for weaving.

Though I know imitation is the greatest form of flattery, and I don't like to start with a post that is in the majority negative, using another users avatar without their permission is not the best way to start on any forum, especially when it's a photo of themselves.

Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella?: I've heard of vegemite...not too many good things about it though. I've never seen it in person, or smelled it...or even know what the container looks like. All I know is people outside of the US eat it for some reason...aaand wtf are marmite and nutella someone please enlighten me???!
