I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

I started with a 6ft broom handle, after the first week i put some grip on it and noticed a huge difference. After that i made my first proto-type and i got the wrong tube, so i made Project-O. 7/8" aluminum tube, 5.5 ft, and got the wick online.

How long is your pole? My suggestion would be to judge from that, how long you want your fire staff. They are not hard at all to make, a lot cheaper then buying one, and can be made to fit whatever you want.

Check out this thread if your interested in making a staff. MCP has got a good guide on there.
