Posted: Well, here goes: My Name's Drew. I'm a proud Atlantic Canadian. I'm 18, finished my first year of university in the Bachelor of Arts program. I've taken the year to travel and gain some life experience and hopefully some insight on what I want to do with life. I speak English as a first language as well as some Spanish and a bit of French. I'm currently working as a Server at a restaurant so I can save up some travel money.
I've been practicing with poi for about three or four months now and I love it. I have a set of the fluffy orange practice ones and a set of the rainbow LED poi. I want to eventually work with fire but that won't be for a while yet. I first became interested in poi about a year ago when I saw them used at The Busker's Festival in Halifax, NS here in Canada.
Aside from busking I enjoy biking, reading (sci-fi and fantasy mostly), drawing, video gaming and D&D. Judo is a big part of my life as well, I've been involved in it for over ten years now and currently have my first degree black belt. I'm also a bit of a rave kid so I like techno/trance/house music, sugar and caffeine and flashy things more than anyone really should.
So that's me in a nutshell... I'm a nut I guess. Anything else you'd like to know? Feel free to ask, I'm pretty open about my life.

I have several large jars of the stuff. I actually like it... a little. And don't tell anyone I admitted to it.

Posted: Lets see. For Video games I've got a Nintendo Wii (I camped out in front of Walmart to get one of the first ones). I beat the new Zelda game on that and I'm working on Splinter Cell. I also borrowed my friend's Xbox so I can beat Halo 2.
I've been happily single for over a year now. Last year was quite hectic and I didn't really have the time (or money ) to invest in a proper relationship. I don't think that'll change any time soon as I plan on doing a lot of traveling this year, but you never really know what fate has in store for you.
I don't really have any particular authors I stick to in reading. I generally just swing by the library and pick out something that looks interesting but I do have some authos who's works I did like. I was reading the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan which I really enjoyed but I had to put that on hold because most of my reading was taken up by books for school. I love some of Phillip Pullman's books and am ecstatic about hearing that his Dark Materials trilogy is being made into movies. In Sci-fi I really enjoyed what I've read by Robert Heinlein and of course Asimov is classic.
*screams* I mean.. uh.. That's not scary.
Thanks for all the welcoming
