I'm absolutely awful at intro's, but then I'm absolutely awful at poi, so there you have it wink
I learned a little a few years back after seeing an amazing girl do fire poi at a Pagan meet in Bedfordshire but I kept losing my poi and gave up after a while, until a few weeks ago when my little boy wanted to try some poi and I had a go with him and got hooked again.

So, here I am... back to hitting myself in the nose with tennis balls and dreaming of the day I dare to try fire poi.

I'm hoping to pick up a few tips, meet a few interesting people and hopefully get up the guts to go to our local poi and diablo night (Club 85 in Hitchin) for a bit of a play.

Looking forward to meeting you all wave

Hello there! welcome

You say you arent good at these intro things...
Well, here on HOP, we made things easy for people with no imagination ( nana ). If you click [Old link] then it will take you to the intro template, where you will find lots of questions which we need answers to.
*Do not forget the very last question. Many people in their Intros overlook it,and yet it IS the most important question* biggrin

I hope you have lots of fun here on HOP and enjoy lots of ...umm.. words.

Here, have a picture of MC Hammer.
cos everyone needs a picture of him.

Oops, I missed favourite foods.

Hmmm, it's more favourite meals than favourite foods and they tend to change ... at the moment it's steak with garlic & herb new potatoes, green vegetables in olive oil and salad.

Damn, I'm hungry again now. I'm blaming you if I inhale this entire tub of Haagen Dazs wink

Just in case the answer's "yes" - Hi there, welcome to HoP. Sorry I had to see you in that other thread first but there you go. Welcome to HoP, pull up a beanbag and if you're so inclined, grab a beerchug - the fridge is over there behind UCOF's bacon & egg sandwich stash (it might take some finding!).

A counselling psychologist eh? So that's why UCOF was being nice to you, and just what we need around this place... ubblol ubblol ubblol

I have several large jars of the stuff. I actually like it... a little. And don't tell anyone I admitted to it.

Thanks for the warm welcome, and I'm really sorry to have been involved in that thread too. I hate drama. Still, seems to have calmed down now so everyone can back to more important things like that beer you mentioned smile

LOL! I suppose every forum needs a counsellor (whether qualified, or just someone who gives good advice) ... wherever there's people there's problems, eh?

Is it kid friendly? I normally have my seven year old with me when I travel home.
