Q. What is an Internal / External move?
A. Link your fingers together and then push your hands away from your chest, this is your personal space. An internal move goes through this space while an external move goes around it.

Obvious examples
1 - the weave (external)
2 - the buzzsaw (internal)

Not so clear examples
1 - Hyperloops
2 - Butterfloop (butterfly hyperloop)
3 - Isolation weaves

Just to clarify with a hyperloop I can perform the trick and move it through the internal space or i can move it around the external space either way the trick works but the visual of it can be quite different.

With the butterfloop the trick is usualy seen as an external move and just looks like a butterfly to the untrained eye but if you move the trick into internal space it takes a double helix or infinity like shape.

With isolation weaves the trick apears to share both aspects, external for the weave but internal for the extra isolation beat. This however is probably the weakest exemple since it is both but neither.

My general obsevations about duel moves are that internal varients tend to be more complex to control but visualy stunning.

This is something that I have been experimenting with and I was wondering if anybody else has worked on this kind of stuff. Also if you have found other moves that can be both internal or external let me know.

Well, you will find that inversion, inswing, reversing

and in certain situation hyperloop uses both external

/internal or better inside/outside.

You can find, that with buzzsaw it will cover whole

one hand and one Poi space, known as frame.
