living in cornhole (as i prefer to call it) has its ups and downs. it's getting to that time of year when our streets are flooded with tourists. I was just wondering if any of these 'lovely and very welcomed' (ha ha)people spin poi, staff in fact do anything that brings us all together on this site. One of the best ups is the fact that there are millions of beautiful places to spin fire . it would be great to show any of you the nicest places and just enjoy 'the cornish riveria' ha ha
So if your are considering venturing down south get in touch.

Also, do u know much about the schools in your area? ive got some family in summercourt but doubt they know anything about the schools.

How lucky are you teaching in Cornwall is, i've been told, is a perfect starting place, people are way more relaxed down here and we have none of the inner city problems (just keep your fingers crossed that you don't end up in Bodmin school or saltash or Cambourne or redruth) Honestly all of the other schools and areas are pretty good. Let me know which area,Cornwall is pretty, you will be in and i will give you some insider information. Congrats on passing the teacher thing keep me posted.

P.S big fire spinning party and outdoor rave thing on june 7 this year if your down that early

I may well be making a visit to Cornwall at some stage over the summer, but depends on how much money I have, and how many of my friends I can whip into shape to let me know if they have a holiday sorted already.

I was planning somewhere on the west coast, although anywhere with a nice sandy beach with semi-decent surf would do - any recommendations?

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

I suspect that Mr 1112 didn't get a ticket either tennis. I presume he's cheating (like Blue Mineirat) and performing with Te Pooka - the sneaky sneaks...

CPG lives in Cornwall....

My Fluffy one and I were in Looe (actually we were in Plaidy but it's close enough) for our anniversary. We spent a week there. We spunned fire on the beach the first night. No one came to watch or even showed any interest.

There only seemed to be about 5 vaguely interesting people in the entire town.

Very pretty place though. And lots of fairies and piskies wandering about. Unfortunately we din't get any photos of them....

sir bovril of monkey It looks like sennen/ gwenver beach is ideal. It has the most consistent surf around and is pretty damm pretty.

Mr Cantus i'm not going to take your comments in an insulting way cos i know exactly what you mean. Cornish people work slightly differently than humans (missing link ?)If something doesn't look normal then most run away or murmur 'bloody foreigners' under their slighty fishy breath. Your other comment is also true there are usually only a few interesting people in each area, but in my opinion because those select few have had to fight to stay animated in a very unanimated area, they are really good and fun people and usually have a strong character and good sense of humour. I can say this as i'm cornish through and through, but now i'm thinking i can't think which catagory i fall into... ah personality check.....erm....er oh self consciousness time feeling slightly uneasy now.............

one more thing, natalie there are many firespinners around but a large group of them are travellers and don't have acess to the net. also cos there are many isolated areas to play many like to keep themselves to themselves, soul swingers eh? Not that this bothers me i have my places too. Good luck at the interview!

Hi Tennis,

I might be down in cornwall this year, pretty certain but as always events may conspire against me.

If you haven't changed your mobile number from when I met up with yourself and Pete last year then I should still have it.

If I do make it (fingers crossed) it'll probably be june/july.

Regards,
