Hi to all you twirlers and HoP lovers!
I'm Malcolm's latest addition to the HoP family with my first day of work here at HoP today (Mon 16th Oct 06) and I see lots of fun ahead (as well as a huge learning curve)! I am totally new to poi so I hope I don't make too many dumb comments!
A bit about me then:
George McNeur, male, age... "enough"!
Family: wife Heather, 3 boys 12, 13, & 15.
Location - Christchurch, NZ.
working career: Electronics Engineering - 15yrs RNZAF, 6 yrs in Test/Manufacturing and 6.5 yrs network products R&D.

CQ, what fire poi do you need for p&p? (How does that even work) - we have a lovely new fire poi that would do postage and handling if you swung and let go it'd go all the way from Ozz-trar-lee-arrr to EnZed...

Either those new poi are ridiculously huge or Malcolm has a pin head! As Jon never mentioned that Malcolm's head was tiny, I'm guessing that Chris just got carried away. Maybe uping his meds would help with that

I think the reason my thread isn't bigger is that General Rougie and her mad cronies frighten everyone away. Or perhaps another way of looking at is the old saying about "Quality not Quantity". (Hmmmm, but that doesn't work either because it's full of twaddle and prattlings from the afore-mentioned crazies!)

Oh, and I decided that Oz-trar-lee-arr wasn't really part of the world so any photo's taken there don't count...

I'm planning on trying to make the next drum circle where they have dancers, hoopers and spinners...and the girl that mods the page has invited me to get together with a few more of the people and says she'd be glad to help me with my spinning and teach me hooping, too...
Problem with the drum circle is that I play djembe, too...and dance...and wanna hoop...and spin...so which one do I do???

By the way I forgot to say that Raleigh is one of the areas of America that I actually liked the look of. Been in and out of there about 4 different times and really liked it. And good beer too!

Like George says ... Do 'em all! We have some drummer spinners here and they think it's absolutely great.
