Heyyy all you mad poi people, how is it that nobody seems to have gone to Global Gathering this year? I saw quite a few poi and glowstick spinners there, lots were very good and i got to spin my LED poi as well *grins*.
Did anybody else go?

i did plenty of spinning there and met a few people, just a shame its not suitable for fire there
abosolutely wicked weekend though, thoroughly enjoyed it!

heard it was shite..............the D&B rig sounded like a wet fart as did most the other rigs............some say the best tunes where played by the stall holders NOT the supre( complete commercialised twat) dj's

not really, it was good enough and the atmosphere was mental, and to be honest thats what counts to me!

Ahh good to know! I thought it was great, only went on the saturday - first time i've been to a festival! Really enjoyed the godskitchen and polysexual tents, and saw fatboy slim. Was kind of disappointing because we didn't get to see Daft Punk and Tiesto, they were on on Friday!
Heard the D&B tent finished 2 hours early or something like that.......bet that was crap

Missed it myself but flatmate went - he said it was goin down hill....... sound rigs were down low and not as many people!?
Im sure atmosphere was good, it always is a places like that

yeah i think a couple were below normal, but nothing drastic,
absinthe, i think i may have seen you there, glancing at your picture.
i remember seeing some "oh my god im blind" bright pink fluff monsters getting spun about, and you look familiar, where were you spinning during saturday daytime?

ravehaead, isnt that what you just said? anyways the D&B rig was fine.
on the subject of "cheese", Global Gathering just plain isnt a rave ya know, its a commercial event, they play whats making them the most money, so although you sneer at it, its probably one of the most profitable festivals around.

ahh no sketch i took rainbow LED poi and some rainbow tailed poi to global so it must have been some other pink fluffy wielding poi person! I was spinning in the Godskitchen tent with the LED poi but loads of people kept walking into them so i had to stop. Pish.
Hmm...I was quite mad actually, as there was firespinning on the contagious stage but i didn't see it at all! Ah well there's always next year, i shall take plenty of spare batteries for the LEDs as i lost half in the mud!
hope to see you there if you're going! Was checking out your poi pics and that buzzsaw is mint.

hey, yeah i know what you mean about people walking into them! its a right pain!
i didnt know they were fire spinning there either!
(other than the poipoi tent in the campsite).
definately will be going next year, will have to organise to have a spin! i would say creamfields but i cant get the time off work
oh and unfortunatly you cant see it, but in that buzzsaw picture i had a fag in my mouth that i was trying to light, i think it ended up in the hedge
