Hi guys, I'm Tommy (we may have met in Gwithian) and this is my new account (finally managed to hunt down and terminate the old useless one).

As many of you kindly wanted to sponsor me for the marathon I'm running THIS SUNDAY here's the link to my fundraising website www.justgiving.com/TommyT . I'm still quite a way off my target! I'm running for the Anthony Nolan Trust who do great work in finding donors and funding research for people with bone marrow disorders (e.g. Leukaemia). I should probably say: The Anthony Nolan Trust is a registered charity number 803716.

To find out more about them visit
https://www.anthonynolan.org.uk/

Sorry to turn this intro into a begging expedition but I hope this helps those that asked for the info and anyone else who wants to support this charity.

Thanks

Tommy

Do they not have Pimms up North?! Pimms is a sweet alcoholic drink mixed with lemonade (usually) and with bits of fruit and cuccumber, bizzarely, mixed in. But most importantly, it has really silly adverts biggrin

Apart from viruses, maybe...

...and those tiny parasites that crawl under your skin and lay their eggs, and then the eggs hatch and the worms come out of your skin... eugh. I think they exist, or did I just watch it in a film?

Been juggling for scouts

Is that anything like bobbing for apples?

Erm yeah they're called Guinea Worms and they're particularly hideous things to be stricken by. Normally I'd link to a site/pictures of them. But, erm, I'm really not going to bother this time if that's ok with you?

*feels slightly sick after having seen some of said pictures whilst checking the spelling of guinea*

I think i might just change the subject.... erm, oh i know, speaking of changing. Mr Irinus, do you think it's about time you changed the title of this thread? Or are you still begging for donations? rolleyes

Hi guys

My juggling holiday is now over, with a new term comes a new burst of juggling fun and I'm bracing myself to deal with the wonderful new freshers that will be wanting to learn the 3 beat weave on monday.

Is it just me, or does teaching the weave get a little tedious after a while?

Instead of teaching the weave as the 'third trick you learn' what else could I do to mess with their minds (I was going to go for an all out 'Scales of Poi' purist lesson but I don't think anyone would come back!),

Happy for any (relevant) suggestions smile

Shame I didn't tell you about the three diabolos sitting in my bag, just waiting to be used frown Oh well, next time eh.

Don't know if I can make it to Jemma's for ball-making (really need to text her back but it's a bit late now!)

Work's been manic and crap (results-wise), plus I've got to give a talk to the whole building in 11.5 hours and I haven't even bothered to start yet.

Stuff sucks frown

Does anyone know where I can find some of those big blue plastic barrels?
