persoally i find the quietest spot in the club ican and start spinning if people don't see you and get hit it's their own fault

Well.... I first saw Poi on holiday in Israël, and got hooked as soon as I got back home. Immediately started making Poi and practised very much, taught myself some basics. After a while I googled Poi and found HOP. With so much inspiration I was doing it night and day for about 6 month's untill I could do all the moves shown on Hop. In this period of time I taught other people who saw how much fun I had, I learned new life-filosofies and discovered that anytihing can be learned, so I bought 3 balls and started throwing them in the air, picking them up and keep on throwing untill I could keep them in the air, then learned some tricks ( all in like 1 year). Then I bought 3 kiddy-clubs and started throwing them and picking them up day and night for about 2 weeks until I could do the cascade with clubs.

[I know when people don't pay attention and get hit it's their own fault but i do feel sorry for them]

Heya, welcome to HOP.

I know that if I saw someone in a club spinning I'd give them space and stuff, and probably just gape in awe at the pretty colours :-P... but that's only because I spin too. I know my housemate and her boyfriend both find it really annoying when someone starts spinning near them, 'cause they get hit. You could say it's there fault for getting in the way... but then again, why should you be entitled to any more space than the rest of the people there? I think at the end of the day it's got to be a compromise, obviously if the club is rammed, don't get them out, but if it isn't, try and find a quiet spot and spin away, just keep in mind that you don't own that space...
