Hi all... I am a complete newbie to poi, fire twirling and anything/everything related. In fact, I'll only even see it in real life for the 1st time next Friday (making it down to the Moon Fest on north side of Brissie).

Anyway, this is me...

Name: Pat... but Pogo to those that know me well.

Location: Logan City, south of Brisbane, QLD, Oz.

Hometown: As above.

DOB: 17/09/1969

Age: 36 and counting...

Sex: Wouldn't that be nice?

Occupation(s): Computer Programmer. Worked for myself from home for 2 1/2 years, but have recently had to get a "real" job.

Favorite Food(s): Hmmm... pretty much anything, really.

Favorite Color(s): Green

Toys: Acoustic guitar, Classical guitar, 3 electric guitars, 2 djembes.

Hobbies other than the obvious: Music, Reading, Keeping fit (hmmm, not so much of the keeping fit, actually)

Education: Did Bachelor of Science majoring in Computer Science and Pure Maths. Then Grad Dip Appl Computing... then started a research masters, but gave it away when life got in the way.

Favorite Book(s): Have to get back to you on that one... The Anarchist was the last book I read, quite liked it.

Favorite Movie(s): Lots... Fight Club, Snatch, Lock Stock..., Finding Nemo, Pulp Fiction, Pay It Forward...

Favorite TV show(s): Don't watch tv.

Plans for life in general: (i.e. what you want to do when you grow up) I really... wish... I knew.

Favorite Music Artists/Composers: Lately... Xavier Rudd, Jack Johnson, JBT, Blue King Brown, Donavon Frankeneiter, Rob Sawyer, The Waifs... blues/roots stuff.

Favorie ice cream flavor(s): Vanilla.

Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella? (please choose one...this is important as it is essentially this site's equivalent of stating your religion...we have religious wars, crusades, cathedrals to Nutella, all that.)

Definitely... vegemite.

bugga... I was one post too late...

ohhh... your dreams have bridges and people and voices and everything... mine have... well, nothing...

I might even go to bed at a reasonable time tonight... give my brain a fair go at remembering...

Darlin,' you would not believe how vivid my dreams can be!
Bright colors, voices, sensation...I've even been shot in a dream and actually felt it. Woke up gasping and in pain.
Lingered for about 30 seconds and then was gone.

Mostly they tend to just be strange rather than frightening, though. I've pretty much been able to eradicate any nightmares.

Some are even quite fun! Didn't tell you what was happening on the bridge...will leave it to your imagination!!!

I'm actually going back to bed for a while. Exhausted from yesterday and am working on one monster of a headache. Maybe a couple of extra hours of sleep will make me feel better.

See you in my/your dreams!

the other night I dreamt I was in a band, and they were trying to teach me to drum, and I sucked, but it was so funny, that I was just laughing in my dream. I woke up laughing too!

I dont dream for long blocks of time, sometimes even years (that I remember anyways), and then sometimes I'll have a month or two where I dream every night. Once I dreamt I was shot in the back of the heat, felt, smelt, experienced everything, woke up with a pain in my skull that stayed the whole day long! Very intense, I can still remember the exact feeling of my cheek on the gritty concrete with the blood pooling around my face...

oh, sorry, that was probably a bit much hey.
Umm
I dreamt I was a smurf once?!

Currently on the right side up of the world.

The smurf would definitely be the less distressing dream, I would say.

I've been working on controlled dreaming and astral travel along with shamanic journeying for years, so it all comes a little easier for me.

Doesn't mean that I don't have some strange ones creep in occasionally, though.

Last night...Yellow Orb Weavers and Mockingbirds. Gotta try to figure that one out.

The ones I had while napping yesterday were lots more fun!

I need to post in the "I'm not drunk" thread... redface

you both have *very* freaky dreams... if that's what mine look like, I don't wanna remember them... I do remember dying in a dream once, when I was in high school... drowned... sucked down some kinda drainage system... not cool

although being a smurf could be kinda cool... I think I'd be slouchy smurf... which smurf were you flyntie, cos there's only one girl, isn't there?

nope... still here... just easily distracted... trying to find tunes on my puta, but they're all over the damn place...

I used some program to help "organise" my mp3s, but it just made it worse... I hate technology... technology sucks... or it hates me... or something... I dunno really, I'm just rambling... stream of consciousness...

damn, I can still spell alright... having to pause occasionally, but still...
