Posted: Yeah another new guy. Anyways, my reason for learning staff is actally for a Star Wars Group.....yeah, In june Darth mauls lightsaber comes, which for those unfamiliar is a double-bladed 7 foot long pretty much staff, which from what i gathered so far is not going to be easy. I was recruited to the newly formed group to travel to star wars events and conventions to put shows on and a friend of mine gave me this link and said all you guys were very helpful on the get go. I was wondering if besides the lessons on this site to get me started if there were any other sites or places that could help me learn that would be great.

It might be worth checking out the videos section of the forum, there's always some crazy stuff in there!

I don't do staff myself, but I've heard MCP's site is very good. Mot also has some staff lessons, here. And yep, definitely browse the [Old link] section for inspiration.
The very best way to learn though is 'live', from others. Whereabouts are you? Maybe there are people spinning nearby who could show you the ropes?
Good luck!

As a staffer, I can vouch for at least MCP's site, the videos section, and the HOP tutorials. Looking at Mot's videos, they are also informative. Translation, you came to the right place.
My only suggestion is for you to start concentrating specifically on moves that keep your hands centered on the staff. Some contact moves, throws, and basic spinny tricks make you grab off center, which would be less useful for you to learn if your goal is centered around the double lightsaber. Darth Maul doesn't lose his own hand, at least not in the movie.
I would highly suggest watching the following video for some ideas for double light saber (specifically lightsaber and double light saber fighting, lol, how convenient):
