I had my first fire breathing session on friday night. I managed to do a 2ft fireball. I was very excited about doing it and it was just as good as I imagined it was going to be. I'll have my girlfriend taking a few picture's and video's soon, so i'll attempt to put some up in my galery.

Yep, funnily enough I didn't burn any hair or flesh. I wore a cap backwards though because my hair always goes down over my face.

Heyhey, breathe happiness people! smile

Congrats Thumperabbit, I remember my first Breath (like, 5 months ago rolleyes) and it felt freaking cool. Really glad you took so much time to practice and only do it when you were ready!

I set my beard on fire last time I did it, that wasn't funny... redface ubblol glad none of you got singed.

After much consideration, I find that the view is worth the asphyxiation.

I'm not positive what fuel I used just yet, as I can't see the bottle from where I am, i'll type it out tomorrow though, i got it from B'n'Q, it has a slightly yellowish colour, almost no taste, and what I can taste is slightly like soap. I've had no side effect's after 5 burns so far. Like I said i'll type it out tomorrow.

I do know what I'm breating with, I just can't remember the name right now, the bottle has been in my garden shed for about 2 week's since i've bought it and been ready to breath with it. And as i've not had any side effect's, i'm assuming it's the best possible fuel to use until a better option come's along. Can you remember the name of every fuel you have used?

Fair enough {anthrax}, what I was trying to say is basicly I feel 100% safe with the fuel i'm using at the moment. I think I remember in reading that it can be used on outdoor garden lamps... Can't be positive though.

And str8jakit, I can't say i've ever sucked on a candle..... Which lighter fuel do you use? Sound's interesting.

alot of people say they are to dangerous. low flash point and all......but i say if you PRACTICE it's just as safe as lamp oil. but that's my opinion, and i'm sure someone will argue that i am a total quack for useing lighter fluid.......

lamp oil is thick, high flash point, less chance for blow back. but i just can not stand the after taste. plus if casues the skin on my chin to dry out and crack. the lighter fluid leaves less of a taste, doesn't dry out my skin (as bad). i know charcoal fluid is about the same. i have used that as well.

i think the best stuff to use is that bio-desiel! expensive for me to get, casue i have to order it off the net. beautiful flame, no irritation to my skin, little to no after taste. well to me any way. one of th guys i breath with swears lamp oil doesn't have a taste....

I found the name of the fuel i'm using, it's called "Parasene". A mix of Kerosene and Naphtha. Not sure what the exact mix percentage is but I think it's in the range of 3/4 kerosene 1/4 naphtha. Done some more fire breathing using this fuel last night, and as yet still no side effect's or loss of hair smile It work's great for my poi and fire breathing. I'm sticking with it.

You realise of course that the side effects such as stomach ulcers and cancer may not show up for a while, right? Cos those (apart from flashbacks) are your 2 worst risks.

After much consideration, I find that the view is worth the asphyxiation.

Yeah I know about those 2 main risks, the chances of cancer are higher with smoker's that fire breath, I don't smoke. Anyway's I'm willing to risk cancer for the wonderful feeling I get for fire breathing.

noody, it was i that brought up lighter fluid first. so attack me for it, not thumper wink so to answer the question "do you have a death wish?" no. but like i said in the rest of my post, the lamp oil causes a rash on my chin. i know that there are ALOT more pollutants in lighter fluid, but i don't breath but maybe once or twice a show, and i do maybe 2 shows a month (if i'm lucky ubblol )

yes ultra pure lamp oil is the safest fuel to use for the most unsafe fire art.....but it's a personal choice of mine to use lighter fluid...
