pandor my be good. but on the other hand may simply give you more music that is similar to the music that you already listen to, which in turn means you just listen to more of the same stuff, but the i suppose music is masterbation, you can never get enough!!! wink

i have certain problems with art in general, dont mind me ubbloco

humpf... i tried it, i did, but it only let me listen to a few songs and then informed me that i can't hear any more because i don't live in the United States, so if anyone's got a spare US postcode.....

however seems like a nice idea, the few songs i got to hear, weren't anything much special, but i feel it could come up with a gem....

I can't open the site. Any help? My laptop crashed a few weeks ago and I lost a lot of stuff. What do I need to download to be able to get Pandora?

flash plugin. it should actually prompt you to install the plugin. Well firefox does anyways (which you all should be using).

Wow, I actually agree with Ben on something.

Nice site.

Off to bounce my head to "east coast rap influences, the heavy use of choral patterns, and the prevelant use of groove"

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

Hey Imbalance,

Installed the plug in and is says "succesfully installed" but still nothing happens. There's not even an icon of it on my desktop, is that normal?
Sorry for being a bit offtopic, this belongs in Help, I know, but it has to do with me trying to get on Pandora so...

If you're having problems try this one instead.

last.fm

Same idea, works even if you don't live in the states. Just download the player, type in a band you like and away you go!

Live like there is no tomorrow,
dance like nobody is watching
and hula hoop like wiggling will save the world.

well, having spent some time playing around with both of these radio stations, i can conclude, that's it's a nice idea, but it's not really doing a lot for me... i was hoping to get some nice new recommendations, but am mostly getting things that i already have. maybe that's the flaw with 'similar artists'....

nevertheless, i'll keep trying, maybe it'll come up with a little shiny gem of musical brillantness smile

Surely though, music helps you work, so they should infact all be using it.

Hrm, gabe was telling me about this, looks pretty snazzy.

di.fm works fine for me, lots of wicked channels on there. Free if streamed thru internode.

Ye, I'd never get away with it here, either... I knew the head IT guy here from a previous job where I used to battle the IT guys to find ways to download MP3s using their servers. So he's well and truly wise to me, nowadays... have to stick with my mp3 player here.

Sounds good for home, though... I don't/can't/won't listen to regular radio stations; they all annoy me. So this could be a good way of discovering new stuff...
