Hi there

welcome to HoP!

One of the things you will find about this site is it has a very good search function: so if you follow the

'search' link (at the top of forum pages) and type Brisbane in you will find [Old link]

Summing it up, Brisvegas has a thriving local spin scene and lots of travellers pass through adding to the mix. About 20 of us just went up to Earthcore, it was great!

Come along meet us and you find there are lots of events and gatherings... the four main ones would be [Old link] at the Southbank Piazza... rock up anytime after about 7ish till 10.30 or so. It's free and friendly and the main meeting place. No fire, everything else though.

Also monthly [Old link] at Moora Park, Shorncliffe.. a beautiful evening meet under the Full Moon.

Special events coming up for spinners are [Old link] for a week after Xmas: featuring this year lots of spinny goodness in our own venue clap

and of course [Old link] to be held in Brisbane in February.

That should be a good start for you!

smile

Ok well a bit about me.

I have only been fire spinning seriously for the past year, on & off before then.
Met met my current flat mates through firespinning. Ben has been teaching me alot, they are from Bello so they are hippies at heart.

I am really interested at POI, as we met a candian guy at Bryon Bay that was really good at it. Doing stalls with his feet ect... Blew me away.

Other than that I assume I am just like the rest of the memebers on here, continously burning myself trying new tricks. lol

At current 2-3 person throwing move with the staff, its pretty crazy. Should be good seeing some other techniques tonight..

Cheers for the warm welcome, fire spinners

Yer I will be there next week again for sure. It was crazy to see so many talented people all in the one place.

As for saying hello, there were so many I didn't know who any one was. frown

I was in the black shirt with jeans, my 2 flate mates & brother were playing around aswell. We were the ones throwing the staffs around.

Well I was hoping to test my new staff soon, I pick it up on Wednesday.

<--------> 180cm, 2x 4inch wicks on each end..... Weighted......
Hmmm

Anything happening before next monday, I wouldn't mind lighting the staffs up. :

Cheers guys & girls.

Hi and welcome jc wave!

Where was everyone last night?? Well, really. Other than inspired_by_fire, Phaerie, sureau, newgabe, Mojojo, ben-ja-men, Parafinfairy, The_Misguided_Oracle.. and myself.. I guess there weren't many of us there.. tongue

For a couple of bucks we could hire a big guy in a suit to stand there with a small little placard with your name on it next week wink

Go to picture galleries and follow the search link to this page.
Type in the name of the person you want to see... like um, maybe, *newgabe* or *ry*...Chances are someone will have taken a photo of them and called them by name!

Instant ID!

See you next week!

Ok ..lol.... I was so lost that night, there were like 15 or so people there...

I did get a chance to have a little chat with one guy there, he was showing me & my mates the ganga. Top Bloke smile (forget his name though frown)

I was hoping there was something on this weekend but it looks like I will have to wait for the 16th or something .

Many people going to the Woodford Festival ?

nice staff you picked up there, didn't know they sold 1.8m staves... or did you have to place a special order for that?

Anyway, next time you're down at monday juggle jams come say hi (even if it's to random people smile we're all nice harmless folks.... mostly wink )
