Hi peoples! Come down for a play at our monthly meet for fire n fun.
Bring your spinning toys, drums, juggle gear, instruments and saftey gear. Where: Mooloolaba beach, in front of the surf life saving tower and surf club. (when windy or cold up on grass near caravan park, see photo below)
When: first Saturday night of every month.
Time: 7 ish
Autum Dates:
March 1st
April 5th
May 3rd
Winter Dates:
June 7th (Gita & Paul's wedding!)
July 5th
August 2nd
Hope to see everyone there!

*****^^^^ A wash of emotions, I hope all of u are joining us this Sat 1 July, coz it will be my last sunny coast fire n fun for a while.......:( so sad to leave but oh so many great memories....hope the heart still plays on ahead without me. Im venturing to Cairns for work....and Ill make a sister fire n fun gathering up there....I have a few maters russled up already. xxxx

i can't believe you're leaving us stace... but i'm sure you will have a great time up in cairns!!! hey i think they do have a regular fire meet up there! when i was up there in april someone told me about it...i just wish i could remember where or when!!
i will ask around! i'm pretty sure it was on the beach...

I have to say that it certainly was alot bigger and exciting this time round. Those guys and girls on the drums were going off, that was cool. Just wanted to thank you leah again for allowing me to use and abuse your staff. I was going to be a chicken and not burn this weekend until i thought i was a little more confident. But i'm glad i did. Got a real buzz out of it.

you guys rock!!!!! I wish to God that i was not a sh*t-worker (oops, i mean shift-worker!!!) and had some control over my roster. Bummer dudes, sounds like you all had a good night though - much respect aaight!!!

someone told me that the laws have changed and it's now at anytime for noise. Ahhhh. At least next month it won't be school holidays so hopefully we wont have any problems. I didn't really like it down on the beach though. I lost my poi that many times it wasn't funny! We might have to end up moving up the road. There's a nice grassy area with table and no lights, plus it's very own carpark! It's a bigger area too, just not to sure about the wind.
Yeah you missed the best one yet Teija. Pitty you had to work. Hopefully they'll all come again next month!
Pauly you suck. First time you lit up and you're already better than most people. Grrrrr. No fair!!!!!!!!

cos if it is the spit - i thought lots of cars headed down there (aka 'hoons' if you ask the local paper) on the weekends? that might be more trouble than it's worth! methinks we might have to go investigate this thing a bit more...

just letting everyone know that fire n fun is still on at the same spot. I checked out that other spot I was thinking of but me thinks it's to windy there. It's hard to find a good spot to play that's out of the wind and that's not out of the way to get to. We'll just have to see if the cops come and pay us a visit again!

it might not be as big this month anyway, which will help too. i think the number of twirlers & drummers (& drinkers) were the main concerns. they seem pretty kewl, but if it keeps getting bigger, we will have to move & probably talk to council/police so we don't get moved on again!!

I'll have to stop that drinking thing. I won't be drinking and I'll ask other people not to. It's a bit dangerous if people are drinking and spinning as well.

Can't wait to see you all excited with your brand spanking new staff. I have got a new toy too, but I've used them twice, my new monkey fists. I got sick of my old fire heads only lasting a min or 2. They're goodly fun. Oh yeah, it ain't my fault, it's YOURS! ha ha
