1337, it's actually a downward pan.



You can tell because it starts off with a little circle (the top of the skull) and then pans downward until you can see the eyes.



And it's MRI, not CT.

When the thing gets about 1/4 of the way down... there's a big blob *outside* the skull. What's that? biggrin

MRI is NMR, but I actually think MRI is a more appropriate term because NMR describes a technique in general, and not the application.

NMR imaging would be the most appropriate term. NMR spectroscopy is used in chemistry. So NMR imaging would be this application of NMR.
