Uploading a Video

I have a video that I want to put up on my gallery but everytime I try to upload it does not let me finish. I am uploading it as an avi file. Is this wrong?
Needing some help!!!!

do you have enough space in your gallery for the file?

Yeah, I seem to have plenty. Just every time that I try to upload it go's to Page cannot be displayed. Recon it has summin to do with my server?
