i was wondering if you'd mind answering a few questions for my survey?
well, just one actually.
"Switching between different kinds of chuu chuu sometimes gives this "urgh wtf?" effect because it's giving people the phi phenomenon."

Clockwise to you is anti-clockwise to a viewer (unless they're standing behind you
You might be thinking of butterflies... I'm thinking of breasts, but this doesn't really effect how I spin

i thought about pointing that out when writing it.
But then decided it was so obvious that the only people that could get confused by it wouldn't really be confused, they'd just be being pedantic.

Yeah, i reckon most people have some stuff they prefer in one direction, and other stuff they prefer in the other.
That's why i asked which people *generally* prefer.

Well anticlockwise then - I do a lot more reels and wall plane weaves than same-direction TTNs :P

funny...doing reels i generally go clockwise but i prefer anti-clockwise for windmills & corkscrews. but keeping them on the same plane as in a lockout i have no preference.

since I began spinning, I've put so much effort into learning EVERY trick backwards as good as I can do it forwards. I'm ambidextrous in the craziest ways now... and it all feels the same.
I'll get there too late if I shorten my stride, I'll get there too soon if I find me a ride, I'll never move forward if I try to hide this path that I've troden one step at a time.

i will spin eaither way pretty happily but not for very long.... probably if im going for an extended period in split time going in one direction for the duration of the period ill chose anticlockwise though.

And if you were spinning both poi in the same direction in the wall plane... wouldn't they tangle? At least mine would. As I can't yet bust out the same direction butterflies.

nah, you can spin them in the back of the wall plane to, so you dont have to get complictaed. and i reckon its best to refer to the direction from the spinners perspective, makes things a hell of a lot simpler if you start turning your planes.

have real trouble doing reels, corkscrew, or windmill spinning clockwise but anticlockwise they're easy i think it depends mostly on which hand you're most comfortable leading with

i think rather clockwise if i have to decide, but in the end no preferance as i try to turn in circles as much as possible and so i change direction of the poi as well quite often.....mr. monkey
btw, have you heard from pat lately, space and me are having the feeling as if he's got lost somewhere again?!?

Currently, over three quarters of people express a preference, though those preferences are equally divided (rather than being weighted in one direction like left/right handedness)

really? thinking of breasts affects how i spin quite a lot. like hitting myself or falling over. especially if said breasts are within range.
