Hi didnt see this topic when I logged on yesterday...



hi all,



I ve been doing poi and devil sticks a few months now



I am really good with sticks with my right hand but am training my left slowly...My boyfiend does them really well wiht both hands using tapered fire and glow. Im just about to buy him an amazing middle stick that changes colour when you hit it...Im still using a balanced stick as I find the taperd ones a bit tricky and have been concentrating on poi



Poi...I love poi...Got my first set about 6 months ago and have done them every day since..I have found lessons on this site most uselful but wish Id seen there was a forum earlier...I started with tennis balls in socks about a year ago and now have ribbon poi and 1 inch fire poi and 3 inch fire poi. I cant get enough...its addictive I swear! My neighbousr were a little afraid at first but now come and watch when their freinds come over...ha ha ha



Anyway wanted to say hi and ask orf help...



I have already posted a thread in events forum about where we meet in newcastle and also about an event thats coming up in September...I need an experienced group of individuals to come an entertain backstage at a big out door gig. We will be entertaining press, managemnet, bands ect...Im going to be checking out or local guys to see whos up for it but would like to open it up to ANYONE who feel s they are up to it and who lives in the north of England. The gig itself is not in Newcastle...I will give more details to those interested.. the date is 17th Sept..I know loads of you are going down to bristol but anyone whos not pleaes PM me for more details.



The gig is being filmed for a DVD that will be available in ALL record shops ...its a great chance for anyone whos up for it I assure you will be a laugh. I need 2 poi 2 staff a fire blower and 2 juggelers transport will be provided plus a few extras Ill tell you about later.
