i guess the first step would to be to learn TTN behind your head, then to move onto a 4beat TTN that alternates between BTH and infront of the head (like a 4beat windmill but with poi going in opposite directions)
hope that helps smile

bth butterfly weave is known as angel wings is it not?
What i did when I was trying it out was pretend my wrists were glued together, do 3 normal butterfly beats then bring hands behind my head for just one beat.

Then I added more bth beats when I could keep the poi relatively parallel and my wrists close but not touching (and not smack myself in the face in the process). you gotta "feel" it

still cant do a btb butterfly though.
Maybe its because of Hugh Jass? (geddit?)

It is possible.
It is hard.
A full BTH butterfly weave has been an aim of mine for a while.
I can only do the 2 beat.

Start by doing a bth butterfly and then turn 180 degrees just after it bounced behind your head and stick straight behind your head again without any break or circles inbetween.

Easiest to think about it and try it wall plane first but wheel plane is the same thing...

Tinklepants, what you describe is not a butterfly weave. Its just a behind the head butterfly.

ok, i got a fowards and backwards weave bth going, which is much easier than the butterfly version and probably worth learning first.
